  1. Indeed, I am aware of this, but he still had to "imitate" Williams's style in those cues. In a way. Anyway, Chamber of Secrets is an outstanding score, I myself prefer it to both the first Potter score AND Attack of the Clones, both great scores in their own right.
  2. I don't grant you that A.I. has a bad ending. A.I. has a perfectly good ending. It has the decency to give us some closure. A.I. is a far better, far more human film than what I suspect Kubrick would have come up with.
  3. Interesting metaphor there!
  4. Definitely, and I am sure that this is because of the change of directors. I am very glad that Alfonso Cuaron decided to stick with Williams, because Williams's music has become the heart and soul of the Harry Potter movies.
  5. While I was a bit surprised by his threatening tone, I'm sure it's all meant in good fun. OR IS IT.
  6. I'll eat my hat if that isn't Williams we're hearing. And William Ross did a good job imitating Williams on Chambers, but you still can still pick out the moments that HAVE to be Williams, like Dueling The Basilisk.
  7. Thanks, I'm not too worried really! After grappling with the insane people of rec.music.movies, I've developed an immunity!
  8. Together with "Reloaded", "Revolutions" is probably the score of the year. You just have to love the unique soundworld Davis has created for these films.
  9. Or perhaps Justin is the English/American version of Jostein? We may never know. Anyway, thanks for the welcome everybody! Just watched Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indy and the Temple of Doom for the umpteenth time. Some of Williams' most muscular action writing there, amazing scores. If only Lucasfilm would release expanded CD editions of Temple of Doom and Last Crusade, I'd be one happy guy. As for Superman, it's a score that's been with me since childhood, even before I knew who John Williams was. I've always loved that score.
  10. Norway! I've been a filmscore nut since 1997, when I first got my Empire Strikes Back CD. Over these years, I've listened to lots of different composers, but Williams has remained my absolute favourite. There is none quite like him.
  11. Being the huge Williams fan that I am, it is strange that I have not yet thought of joining this Message Board. Well, I'm here now, good to see you all. My favourite Williams score is probably Superman, but I cannot think of a single score of his that I don't like to some degree.
