  1. My ten favorite composers, in that order: 1. John Williams (everything he's ever written!) 2. Jerry Goldsmith (Basic Instinct, Poltergeist) 3. James Horner (Titanic, The Mask of Zorro) 4. Danny Elfman (MIB, The Simpsons) 5. Bernard Herrmann (Psycho, Vertigo) 6. Marco Beltrami (Scream-trilogy) 7. Howard Shore (LOTR) 8. Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump) 9. James Newton Howard (The Fugitive, ER) 10. John Barry (Out of Africa, Dances with Wolves) I think most of these guys are pretty good, most of the time, except for John Williams, of course, who's ALWAYS exceptionally good . . . LOL
  2. Can anyone tell me where I can get bootleg CDs? I know you can't get them at regular stores, so do you get them off the Internet? Are they mostly of good quality? (If not, I'm not much interested in them, I think.) Also, who makes these quasi-soundtracks? I'm currently looking for the "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" soundtrack (doesn't have to be a bootleg, but the original soundtrack seems to be out of stock for years now, even the Japanese import edition) and the 1995 reissue edition of "Raiders of the Lost Ark." I'm at home in Vienna, Austria, and I definitely can't get em here! So, is anyone willing to offer these titles (bootleg or not) at reasonable prices? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hey there. I need your help (that is, from any John Williams fan out there). I'm looking for the "Por Una Cabeza" (the tango played at the beginning of Schindler's List) on CD, but not the version available on the Scent of a Woman soundtrack. That's the same as the one played in True Lies, I believe, but the version played in Schindler's List sounds totally different . . . that is, it's much, much better! Did John Williams do the arrangement on that one himself? Is that why it's so hauntingly good? Anyway, does anyone know who arranged it and whether it's available on CD? God, I think I've watched that bar scene in Schindler's List like fifty times already, just to listen to this version of "Por Una Cabeza" over and over again!!! Thanks in advance for any input.
