Another Phoenix area lurker for about the past dozen years. I live in Chandler. I've seen all of the Star Wars and Harry Potter Phoenix Symphony concerts except the one a year ago. I play in a flute ensemble conducted by Jenna Daum who is the 2nd flute in the symphony. Jim

I've seen most of the John Williams film scores done by the Phoenix Symphony. There's not really a bad seat in the hall. You can hear the brass quite well wherever you sit. I usually like to sit in the middle lower section about 10 rows back. Sound it perfect there. I play in a flute ensemble that is directed by Jenna Daum who is the acting 1st flute. She's told me that John Williams scores are the toughest thing they play as there's a lot of music. They get 4 weeks with the music instead of the normal 2 weeks for other concerts.
