I've seen most of the John Williams film scores done by the Phoenix Symphony. There's not really a bad seat in the hall. You can hear the brass quite well wherever you sit. I usually like to sit in the middle lower section about 10 rows back. Sound it perfect there.
I play in a flute ensemble that is directed by Jenna Daum who is the acting 1st flute. She's told me that John Williams scores are the toughest thing they play as there's a lot of music. They get 4 weeks with the music instead of the normal 2 weeks for other concerts.
