The 2019 edition of Tanglewood’s ‘Film Night’ will be conducted by David Newman, with John Williams as a host, as reported by the BSO website. Williams will introduce a selection of film music, including his own works, which will be performed by the Boston Pops on August 24.
The Maestro, who previously shared the podium with Richard Kaufman (2016) and Andris Nelsons (2017 and 2018), is likely to conduct the encores at the 2019 concert.
