‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Soundtrack Wins Grammy Award

John Williams has won his 23rd the Grammy Award for the original soundtrack album of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Williams’ work for the seventh installment in the Star Wars saga was the winner in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category, where Thomas Newman’s Bridge of Spies, Ennio Morricone’s The Hateful Eight, Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto’s The Revenant, and Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein’s Stranger Things were also nominated.

The 59th Grammy Awards were held in Los Angeles on February 12, 2017.
