What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)

As a poet, and a hopelessly romantic man, films like this are very close to my heart. Not nearly perfect, but has some really nice moments. -
What Is The Last Score You Listened To? (older scores)
JTN replied to Ollie's topic in General Discussion
I can’t get enough of this score, just like The Mummy, this just wants me to listen to it over and over again. Anyone else a fan of Chris Boardman’s 80s badass synth score? It could’ve been written by James Horner in his Commando/48 HRS mode. Very cool score, I hope it will get rereleased some day. -

Maybe you could do a ranking of your top ten tiring JWfan polls.

All this ranking is making me a very tired boy I'll not rank every Steve film, but I will do a top-5: 1/ CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND 2/ 1941 3/ EMPIRE OF THE SUN 4/ JAWS 5/ MINORITY REPORT

No, film releases in the US on May 3rd, so expect a release next week

That MUST be a joke. Probably they will send you the proper cardboard sleve with backup discs. Otherwise... I don't know what to say. Last Crusade was the first Indy score that I bought on CD. The previous two I had on LP. But I gave the Crusade CD away, when I got the Concord box. And I almost gave away the DCC album of Raiders until I realised, that the Concord version didn't have the film version of the Desert Chase. Was the fist and only time, that I asked a present back. Was a little embarrassing. But my brother understood it. And it wasn't a birthday or something, but just a "Do you want it? I don't need it anymore. Oh wait, sorry. I still need it." And he kept the Crusade album.

Don't know if I even want to try such a ranking for my favourite director. I know that JURASSIC PARK is at the top, that goes without saying. Otherwise, films like A.I., RAIDERS, E.T., SCHINDLER, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, EMPIRE OF THE SUN will vie for the next spots somehow. Meanwhile, at the bottom, it will no doubt be films like 1941 and THE BFG, but there are redeeming qualities in both. They're not bad films, just "less good" in the Spielberg canon. Maybe the last place will go to the über-patriotic and sentimental documentary short A TIMELESS CALL (we still need that Williams score released, though). So no, I won't attempt a ranking, even though I kinda just did.

Yeah, I realized I wasn't following his Facebook page, for some reason. Remedied now.

Blanchett's performance is always good, unless it is somewhat supposed to be romantic. The closest she got to a tangible romantic performance was in Heaven. Great film by the way. -
Whoa, that slipped past me. And here I was talking earlier about the lack of any new Gilmour in recent years. Thanks for the heads-up!

As long as we're sharing Indy collections, here's mine. I have these physically: Additionally, I have these in digital file format: Now if I could only get my old friend Jim Titus to design a slipcover, print it out somehow and BANG!, I have an Indiana Jones box that outshines this new set from Disney in every way.
