I am not overly happy that a large part of the concert in Vienna will be devoted to a score like TITANIC - you can't really avoid it, though. The program seems to focus on the big, mushy recent scores (BRAVEHEART, LEGENDS OF THE FALL et al.) that somehow deny Horner's brash youthful days. But we take what we get and while we all know that Horner's best days are truly behind him, i still cherish him as a one-of-kind talent, even with all the strange idiosyncrasies.

As if the voice over wasn't lame enough, they made an even more baffling move of saying "From the studio that brought you Life of Pi". You don't say? As well as hundreds of other flicks for the last 80 years! This trailer crossed the line into Youtube mashup territory.

He's doing great work! Watching the last video again, I do wonder if all that music after 4:45 is actually meant for something else entirely..... It does kinda make sense to end the initial Radagast sequence with us seeing Dol Guldur in the distance.... and then seeing the Nazgul/Necromancer bit during his meetup with the company like on the OST/in the final film. Could there have originally been a sequence where we see inside Dol Goldur from the inside, where a voice tells the orcs to hide or something because Radagast is coming? I dunno. I wish the EE was out!

I wish tv would have more mediocrity Sherlock-style in store. At least on the acting front.
