  1. Did anyone ever see this interview? http://screenrant.com/jurassic-world-colin-trevorrow-interview/ Nothing too exciting, especially now of course, but here are some of the director's words. He first talks about John Williams. Didn't know he actually came in and had a talk with Colin. Also how Giacchino appeared to originally play the JP theme likely when the Rex breaks through the skeleton. Interesting:

  2. Stumbled over this version of the awesome funk track "New Shooter" on YT: Is this the film version? It's quite different from the album version. It has more wacka-wacka rhythm guitar.

  4. Hahaha, you people clearly never been to Ireland. The Guinness they sell abroad isn't the real thing. You can only drink the real Guinness in Ireland! But yes, Heineken sucks!

  5. This sentence from the above link gives the impression of two releases: Well, they couldn't form a coherent marketing blurb for the Indy box, so why should this be any better...

    Vinyl

For vinyl and Rosenman lovers (and for those who don't visit the LOTR subforum): Leonard Rosenman's score for the Bakshi adaptation gets the deluxe treatment! Sticker for the win!

  9. Is "depressing" bad then? Does good music need to be only cheerful and uplifting? I don't listen to Cedars often, very rarely even. But it's an unique score from JNH and pretty haunting. Karol It's a little more complicated than that. I was introduced to this score during my 'coming of age' period in my early teens when I had some issues/life events, and I find it very difficult to separate the two now. Hence, I'd probably otherwise enjoy that score. Although I also just don't enjoy scores for depressing films. For example, I can't listen to The Road; because the film is unrelentingly bleak. It's beautiful music, but I can't handle the images it evokes.

Yep, plus some irrelevant chariot chase that has little relevance AND even more awful Legolas antics with the bats of Gundabad. Was it really so hard to include a little bit more character interaction into an awfully action-heavy film?
