  1. Well, klokwerk (sounds Dutch...) that track was originally called "Grevious (note the spelling) Travels To Palpatine". We know that in the film (POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!!!) Grievous doesn't really travel to Palpatine in a physical sense, but he does travel to speak to him using a holographic projection. The original tracktitle obviously didn't do justice to the scene and therefor the new title for the same piece of music, Grievous Speaks To Lord Sidious, is much more accurate. From IESB.net (well, at least from one of it's more reliable contributors) Track List Star Wars and The Revenge Of The Sith 7:31 Anakin's Dream 4:46 Battle Of The Heroes 3:42 Anakin's Betrayal 4:04 General Grievous 4:07 Palpatine's Teachings 5:25 Grievous and the Droids 3:28 Padme's Ruminations 3:17 Anakin vs. Obi-Wan 3:57 Anakin's Dark Deeds 4:05 Enter Lord Vader 4:14 The Immolation Scene 2:42 Grievous Speaks to Lord Sidious 2:49 The Birth Of The Twins and Padme's Destiny 3:37 A New Hope and End Credits 13:06 And this is supposed to be the official cover: Oh, and by the way did anyone see Webdoc 16? When they show some of the filming of Darth Vader they play the Final Duel cue (just as accompanying music to the webdocs - nothing new or anything), but it works great! It send chills down my spine. Breathtakingly good use of music!
  2. Found on this site: http://www.thelogbook.com/z2005/mar/mar21.htm Scroll down a little
  3. Stefan; you didn't read the article did you? The new Britney Spears album; that's hype. The new Eminem; hype. Axl Rose's Chinese Democracy: classic.
  4. I think Joe took Spielberg's reaction upon hearing bits from the orginal Star Wars score in 1977 (see book George Lucas - The Creative Impulse). Spielberg said that Williams gave away everything he had for Star Wars and Spielberg was worried if Johnny still had something left for Close Encounters. Or something like that. I guess Joe feels this year mirrors 1977 to a degree. I would agree with him.
  5. This is a comic book cover which I would have liked to see as a poster: http://images.darkhorse.com/covers/10/10559.jpg
  6. I'm a huge GNR fan! If anyone wants to know what happened to the band after 1993 read the following article: http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/art...1529604,00.html It's really accurate and also fun to read! Axl Rose is great in my mind (not John Williams great, ofcourse) and all this controversy surrounding his Chinese Democracy-epic has made the album a classic already; even before it's release!
  7. I took this from Aint It Cool News: Yes, this does get me excited...
  8. Guys; this is NOT the official CD artwork. Notice the blur around our battling "heroes" feet? This is just a simple way to masque the film's logo. They clearly took the poster as the template for this work, whereas the original CD artwork department will work with the image sans title. The one made here is also derived from the poster including logo and all, but is done in a much better and more professional way. Oh; and why is Darth Vader so dark? Otherwise they couldn't insert the top Star Wars logo without giving it away. Amateurs!
  9. I still prefer the theme as performed on violin.
  10. For the record: we were NEVER told by anyone that "Lament" was recorded as CONCERT PIECE. The music will likely be part of the track called The Immolation Scene (in fact; I'm almost sure of it!)
  11. Check the official site. It's nice, but I really wanted to see a little more scope. Perhaps the theatrical trailer will provide more images that truly shine. But as a teaser it's good I guess. And John Williams is credited on this one
  12. Like I wrote earlier: it's quite possible that they will pull a Batman Forever on this one. Many Batman and score fans really expected that Goldenthal would at least hint at Elfman's Batman Theme in his score for the third installment, but instead Goldenthal prefered to write his own Batman Theme although remaining in the mold that Elfman established. I believe that Doyle will choose the same approach. He will adapt the sound of Hedwig's Theme, but I think he will write his own theme. Even for the opening of the film. Hearing the same sort of instrumentation (celesta and all) will please the general crowd even though the actual music may differ. This is Patrick Doyle. Not a secondary composer.
  13. Gee, this thread is getting weird. Chris, I agree with you (almost) 100%. And Neil - I appreciate your opinion like any other here, but I have the awkward feeling that whenever some here say A you just have to say B. Especially concerning Star Wars. Man, if you don't like it that's fine, but uh, we know it already. In the end Star Wars are films made for kids. I follow a lot of messageboards on ROTS, but to be honest I have never heard anyone complain about Palpatine's laugh. The thought never crossed my mind. It never bothered me. It's an evil laugh and again, it's aimed at children (ok, ROTS not for the very little ones it seems). But I don't really get upset by anyone's opinion here. Hell, say what you want, ventilate your dislikement (for some bitterness even it seems), I enjoy reading it nonetheless. Yes; even Neil's obsessive need to degrade Star Wars. Hey; I truly dislike teen-pop. It's dreadful. Thank god I don't feel the need to post about it over and over and over and over again. What a waste of time!
  14. Joe; believe me the Internet HDTV version is a 1000 times better than any video tape can offer.
  15. The BEST file on the Internet is called that_video.avi Look for a Torrent for this one. It's the best quality of the trailer available. It's in HDTV format so it's ULTRA-CLEAR picture (even full-screen it's AMAZING) and great sound. You will need a XviD-codec to view it on your Windows Media Player (you can find one easily anywhere on the Net). Good luck hunting for it guys! You will NOT be dissappointed! There isn't a better version out there.
  16. Hi Yeriud! I'm sorry there. I was refering to posting unofficial links to stuff like trailers, pictures, etc. I'm not the moderater here so I guess Neil has to make that decision. If we are free to post links here for the trailer I will deliver! When you wrote: "have you read my message?", you were refering to the message in this thread, right? I didn't recieve any PM's from you, so I guess that's not what you meant. Anyway; I agree 100% about the trailer being awesome! I'm not sure if I would want to see a Sapnish version of it, but that's ok. Welcome to the board dude!
  17. Drax... you don't need Hyperspace to view the trailer... Just PM me... I will send you a link for a high quality .avi file that will blow your mind.
  18. Well, yes and no. You've taken some of the best material from that decade. There is one really weird Return Of The Jedi poster out there with the character-faces lined up and I think the Death Star exploding above it. It's a poster like THAT that reminds me of the Episode III poster. It wasn't photoshopped though... EDIT: it's this one http://www.evan.org/posters/rotj8.jpg how does one add an image anyway....? By the way; Neil THIS is the most beautiful Empire Strikes Back poster ever made! http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/3..._EMPIRESBRP.jpg
  19. Chris, Why did you mention Supershadow's site? That guy is an absolute fraud! He takes information from REAL sources over at www.millenniumfalcon.com and other sites and posts them as if it were his material! I've read "his" Episode III scene-by-scene summary MONTHS before he posted it. This guy really believes he befriends George Lucas and the cast and crew of Episode III and even posts FAKE interviews with all of them online! Supershadow puts all Star Wars fansites in a bad light. He takes credit for those who were "brave" enough to spoil us over the last few years. I dislike his approach truly.
  20. To be honest; I've accepted the poster for what it is right now. And, uh, I like it. I'm very excited to see the original paintings, but this poster reminds me of one of those "80's"-posters and I guess that is what Lucas was aiming for in the first place.
  21. I just downloaded the trailer in extremely high quality HDTV.avi format and, especially after seeing the messed-up versions from Peru, I find this trailer an absolute winner! In fact; I would go so far as saying that this is one of the best trailer ever made! I loved the trailers from the first two prequels, but this one out-classes them in every regard. It's more artistic and has an almost surreal quality to it. That last shot before the film's logo of Obi-Wan and Anakin going through mid-air, clashing their lightsabers together is truly perfection. This movie is going to be everything I wanted to see in the prequels since George Lucas first announced them. GLORIOUS!!
