Hopefully with ample time for The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara after that!
Is it even confirmed that Williams will score that film..?

Guys, it's entirely possible he already wrote and recorded Ready Player One, and Burlingame's article simply didn't mention it.
Seriously..? The film comes out in 2018...

Does anyone else's order summary page state "This order is pending review" in yellow text at the top? I'm worried now that something is wrong with my order.

I ordered about 1.30pm PST.
I have the same thing........... Reason to worry....?

Ordered. Email confirmation. Good night..!

Just three quotes of Hedwig's Theme.
Ok thanks..! Cool nonetheless.

Sounds interesting..! Can't wait for this.

Haven't followed anything related to this score and I know there are 36 pages where probably the answer to my question is written down somewhere, but could someone help a lazy dog out here: does JNH quote any musical from Williams' Potter scores in this one..?

It's written by Williams.
Thanks..! I love that piece..!

Can anyone confirm the Main Titles cue is an original Williams composition or an existing classical piece..?

I might be, depending on Boston film night dates.
Likely won't be there, but surely wish I could......

I'm so glad I started collecting in 1993. In the mid 90's, I bought this CD just in a regular record shop in Rotterdam.

New to the forum and have a question. Is there a button I'm missing at the German site to play the samples automatically - or does everyone have to click on each individual song as I am?
This site plays the same samples automatically: http://www.musicline.de/de/player_flash/0050087329181/0/0/50/product

There's no guarantee he'll score any films after RP1 and SW8.
Although I'm an optimist, there is no guarantee he'll score those films either. Of course, no scoring job is a certainty until it's recorded and all, but with Bridge Of Spies still so fresh in my memory -to which Willams was initially officially attached (GSA website, etc.)- I'd say a Williams score is a guarantee when he's actually busy writing the score.

A question about orchestrations...
in JOHN WILLIAMS
Posted
I remember reading some time ago -this year I think- someone saying -I think it was Conrad Pope- that orchestrating a Williams-score is very different than orchestrating a score of Alexandre Desplat since Williams basically writes so much detail in his sketches whereas the sketches of Desplat require 'a lot more effort' from the orchestrator.
Does anyone remember this/know where I can find the related thread where this was quoted/stated?
