  3. I was trying to sign up to the Emporium site, but got a message that I'm 'not eligible at this time to register of sign in'.... Anyone know what is up with that? Then I was trying to order the CD without registration, but saw that you have to pay before giving address details, etc., which is sort of new to me... Did it work like that for others as well?
  4. On vacation now, but I will look at it when I get back (mid July).
  5. Thanks for taking the time to answer questions about the score! @TheUlyssesian Did you notice any choral elements?
  6. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-reviews/indiana-jones-and-the-dial-of-destiny-review-harrison-ford-james-mangold-1235495914/ ‘This is a big, bombastic movie that goes through the motions but never finds much joy in the process, despite John Williams’ hard-working score continuously pushing our nostalgia buttons and trying to convince us we’re on a wild ride.’ Judging by the handful of reviews so far, the film isn’t that much of an improvement -if at all- over KOTCS.
  7. Does this sound like a new recording to anyone? https://twitter.com/variety/status/1659253569806114837?s=46&t=zM1vPrxUmgaDMc2MbV6lig
  8. For me, it’s a 5 star score and a true classic. Joe: thanks for sharing your wonderful story!
  9. My personal Top 10 John Williams' scores has remained unchanged for about 20 years now. Although I have high hopes for The Dial Of Destiny score, I doubt it will shake things up at the very top. 1. Star Wars (1977) 2. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982) 3. Schindler's List (1993) 4. Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981) 5. Superman The Movie (1978) 6. The Empire Strikes Back (1980) 7. Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (1977) 8. Jaws (1975) 9. Jurassic Park (1993) 10. Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone (2001)
  10. I'm still hoping for an expanded Born On The Fourth Of July release one day.
  11. Very quickly made this. Will give it another try this weekend, placing the logo on the bottom.
  12. It’s only February, but this is the Post of the Year for me. 😇
  13. I'm convinced by now Babylon will win the award. I felt Williams had a very good chance a few weeks ago, but there is no momentum left behind his work for The Fabelmans. The stars just aren't aligned anymore in his favor. Despite this: I really enjoy his work for The Fabelmans and regard the main theme as one of his most beautiful compositions. And that is more important to me than another Oscar win.
  14. Ah ok! Thanks for clarifying this for me!
  15. Thanks for this! The first original score music heard in the film is actually the opening part of the last track The Journey Begins. No idea if this is a seperate recording or just tracked from the final cue.
  16. I think he was actually attentively listening to the words of Justin Hurwitz, who was trying to make a good and noble point. You can see Brad Pitt smiling at the beginning of Hurwitz's speech, but at the point Williams supposedly looks 'sad', Pitt has tuned down his smile as well, partly because Hurwitz is clearly going to cover some serious ground and partly because the Golden Globe winner is sort of struggling getting his point across.
  17. True and the last time Williams won an Academy Award, he did not won the Golden Globe for Best Original Score (Kitaro's Heaven And Earth was chosen over Schindler's List back in 1994). Despite there still being a theoretical chance, I've accepted that Babylon will probably also win the Academy Award this year.
