  1. If The Patriot was on this poll I'd vote for it. But I haven't had the pleasure of listening to most of these yet. I remember Spacecamp being quite good from watching it, I loved that movie when I was a kid.
  2. Thanks for the clarification, Steven. You'd know better than I would, I was just going by what's in the article. A fair question. He has certainly been surpassed several times over in the public's view. The "film by Steven Spielberg" tag doesn't create the excitement it used to.
  3. Apparently it's "still on," at least acording to producer Frank Marshall. He says they're writing a new script and that Lucas is involved in it despite it being crunch time for Ep. 3 post-production and reshoots. The rumor is the guy who wrote Pirates of the Carribean, Stuart Beattie, is writing it. I used to want to see this done, but now I just wish the project would die a slow and quiet death. The only good thing that can come out of this is a new Indy score. Full story here: http://filmforce.ign.com/indy/articles/529...9/529496p1.html
  4. I've always enjoyed Independence Day, and like the Special Editions of the OT better. And here's another one: I like the Star Wars prequels. If there's ever a single statement that'll get you killed on this board...
  5. Already knew about it actually. There's some great stuff there. And I think Marian picked that place clean after he discovered it. If it was CDs instead of files, there'd be nothing left. LOL
  6. I don't listen to anything other than film/TV/video game soundtracks regularly. But being from Texas and all I do get the urge for Country once in a great while, Brooks & Dunn being my favorite.
  7. My first Williams CD was when I was 18, the ANH Special Edition. But I didn't become a hardcore JW fan until 21, when I started buying in earnest.
  8. See, something leaked out. It just wasn't anything important. And I know that there are always confidentiality agreements, but that won't stop some people. Depending on how many people attend, it'd be pretty hard for Lucasfilm to track them down. Still, we'll find out soon enough. If something did leak it'd just be on AICN anyway, and no one would believe it, least of all me.
  9. For more Connery backup, a quote for you all from the brilliant British comedy Coupling (not to be confused with the American travesty of the same name). "It's the four pillars of the male heterosexual psyche. We like: naked women, stockings, lesbians, and Sean Connery best as James Bond, 'cause that's what being a boy is!"
  10. Really? Did they bump up the DVD release date, or is that the date of a confirmed press release detailing the DVDs? That's when all of the DVD sites can write about the press events Lucasfilm is currently holding to promote this DVD. Neil I'm kinda surprised nothing's leaked out yet. Normally someone at these things will talk.
  11. San Antonio is only about an hour south of me, I'm gonna try to go if I can get the money. If there are any other JWFan members in the area that would like to go maybe we can arrange a meet-up!
  12. Well, it wasn't TOO bad since my major (now degree ) is political science, so at least it was in my major. And it was one of my favorite professors. Well, I went cross-eyed about halfway through, does that count as mystified? I'm with Steef, I really don't care for musical theory, just the end result.
  13. By all means, go for it. I just felt the need to point out my own musical ignorance, that's all. And my own 8 AM tortures included Public Speaking and Politics of the Pacific Rim, so I know where you're coming from!
  14. Uh............................. I like music.
  15. I also have to go with DoTF under the Force theme in TPM. Superb stuff.
  16. I don't understand why a new Superman is being made period, especially if it's going to reinvent the whole thing. It hasn't been that long since the last Superman film franchise, plus what, two TV shows (Lois & Clark and Smallville)? But comic book films are big right now, and I guess if there's money to be made, it's gonna happen. Same deal with Batman really, just without the TV shows in between movies.
  17. I'd be really surprised. We're getting Chewie and Tarkin, that'll probably be it. Plus seeing Leia's adopted father, but he was in Ep. 2 also.
  18. Yikes. Bond turns into light romanic comedy. I can see Ewan McGregor as Bond. And I have to ask: Keanu Reeves? How the hell did he even get on the poll?
  19. Well, as a fan of AOTC myself I can't speak for them, but I have a theory that can be summed up in two words: George Lucas Anything associated with him, post-1980 or so, is automatically crap according to a decent number of people here. I'm as angry as anyone about the way he has treated Williams music in Eps. 1 and 2, but I love the scores as JW wrote them and the movies.
  20. I didn't notice that. :? Hmm, something to look for when I see it on DVD I guess.
  21. You also can't deny that Reeve is perfect in the movie. Neil There isn't much in that movie that isn't perfect or nearly perfect. It's extremely well made. One of only three comic book based movies that I've actually liked (the other two being Batman and X-Men), I'm not a fan of the genre.
  22. If another Willow movie gets made (unlikely) then they will probably use LOTR-style tricks instead of midgets. But I would like to see Warwick Davis again, give him something good to do other than 2 second parts in SW and HP. He makes a great Prof. Flitwick, though.
  23. They did do an amazing job on it. I was very impressed with how seemless yet amazing the new effects were, and the new edit made the film flow much better.
  24. He should "chuck" post-ESB continuity. Neil So that means that everything pre-ESB is OK with you. Including the prequels? Shirley that's not what you meant, we know you better than that.
