I've been in 2 musicals - one community one (State Fair) and this year, Anything Goes, for highschool. I never really appreciated musicals until I was in one and saw how much work it took to put one together. Then I went to see Oliver in Des Moines, and that blew me away. I now want to see what other people's favorite musical is. And I know that this doesn't have much to do with John Williams, but neither does best big band tunes have much to do with him either... So just wondering. My favorite is probably Anything Goes.

I'm wondering is Doyle will use much of the old material... And I wonder if the music will be toned down to where one can't hear it... like in CoS... This seems like it might happen... But let's hope not... Cause... I hope this is a huge score, just as good as anything John Williams could cook up... Although it probably won't be.

I've seen Smallville several times... And I don't like it. At all... the one most recently I watched was one where Clark got a ring made out of some fake looking rock that is like nuclear or something and made him mean and crap to the ppl he looooved. It was retarded. When they showed the actual "rock" I scoffed and turned off the tv... It was very fake (the rock) and that's what bugged me. Cause I know rocks. Plus it was a cruddy story line. A movie of Smallville would have to be very good and very original for me to like it. I wouldn't like it to have much in common with the tv series.

PS: Our highschool band (i'm a part of it) and our 8th grade band took the first places at a statewide band competition in Carroll, Iowa... 15th time for the Highschool. 8th time for the 8th grade... For those who care... And those who don't... And yes I know this has nothing to do with Harry Potter or homosexuality of minors.

They are ppl books. Most everyone who reads them like them, yes the majority of the ppl reading them are kids... But they are ppl books.

Maybe it isn't so much scheduling conflicts... I just can't see Williams dropping out of something that he is now widely associated with. I think Williams had some sort of problem with the people dealing with Harry Potter. But like a lot of ppl are saying, as far as scheduling goes, GoF could easily be done.

Maybe... But War of the Worlds and Episode 3 in one summer, whether one is THAT much better than the other, should be totally awesome... Episode 3 had better be amazing though. War of the Worlds definetely has potential though.

Definetelty having the music mixed too low. Plus, in CoS, you they didn't use hardly any music anyway. But what they did use was way too quiet.

I think they are close to even in their own ways. Hook is fun, imaginative, and cool: all kids and their parents love it. ET is just great. It's something everyone loves... It has its great points that everyone remembers. Also, I've asked some of my friends at school, Hook and ET are equally widely known and most like Hook better. These are highschoolers, mind you, and they all love Hook and like ET. As for adults, the ones with kids like Hook and like ET better. Very few think it's a terrible movie.

When ARE the Oscars?

Yeah Hook isn't a terrible film though. There's nothing terrible about it. If you have very little imagination or didn't like the original and didn't wonder what ever happened to Peter Pan later in life then you would think Hook is terrible. Perhaps those who don't have kids don't like it as well too.

I bet that PoA will win if any. It just seems... right, with no LotR scores. Terminal has a nearly equal chance though, so who knows.

Oh I think most of the flying moments in Hook rival Fawkes... EASILY. They are much more complicated pieces. And more fun. And yeah, I too agree that Hook is better than all of the HP scores.

Also, I think the Hook score is much, much more fun. Every song is fun to listen to. Another obvious reason why some... maybe a lot... like Hook better than ET...
