I like listening to Across the Stars more, simply because Fawkes is fairly unmemorable (very good, but not memorable or catchy). But, considering the Across the Stars was more or less used note-for-note (to some extent) in Hook, I had to give it to the less fufilling but more original Fawkes.

It could have been 1/3 of the size it was. 2/3 of it was like... Nothing.

No. NO. NO! NO!!! I laughed for a long time at that. And at that point where Dooku and Anakin were fighting and they did that quick shot of Palpy and he was like, "Yea!" Omg. Duh. So funny. There were a lot of other things too.. I laughed at Yoda and Palpy fighting because it was so cool. I was shivering the whole time.

Might those be perdy choir voices I hear? Cool.

Appalling soundtrack.

I didn't pick other... But I agree with nightscape that Yoda and Sidious is by far the best.

BLARGH!! I can't watch it... Of course, I am hoping that this little piece is just like... nothing compared to the rest of the score, which I know it won't be... But I DON'T WANT MINORITY REPORT!!!!!!!!!! BBBBBBBLLLLLLLLAAAAAAARRRRGHH

The theatre I went to had a great surround system that was put to horrible use. I've noticed this a lot... Where the sound mainly comes from the front of the theatre, rather than around you. It's hard to hear and very treble-y

Yeah its like "What have I done?!??!! banghead " Then sidious comes up and is like "Oh hey. Sucks, dont it. join the dark side. blah" more or less..... it is very abrupt

During maybe the 1st 15 minutes of the movie, I was worried cause the space battle was kinda boring. Spectacular, but boring... And then it just got much better from there. Exceded expectations.

I think it's too simple and too repetitive. I love it, but Chamber of Secrets is must more complex. (Yes, BotH is too... I'm just saying)

BotH isn't diverse enough and... idk... It's just too easy where as Chamber is different throughout the song and is more complex.

Here's my guess for my list: 1)Revenge of the Sith 2)Empire 3)AotC 4)Jedi 5)New Hope 6)Menace Just my guess as to where RotS is gonna be located.

I hope this is an amazing score... and not as Minority Reportish as I think it might be. Let's hope for some amazing new themes. Sticky, memorable, but dark ones.

My take: Star Wars action music was better in RotS but sucked in the other prequels. Spare Duel of the Fates. I like themefilled action music. Other wise... it's unnoticable and not fun. Look at all the great stuff that we've been given by him in the last few years... He's come up with some music that, IMO, was just as good as the 70's, 80's, and early 90's. And look at all those films. Those were great, fun films. But when one looks at Minority Report or A.I. or even the new Star Wars... There's not a LOT of stuff that inspires me in them.. So I can see why John isn't so idk into it. ANYWAY. I think that in the 70s 80s and 90s... he had more fun less almost ridiculously boring (in their own way) films to work with. I think it's the enjoyability of the movies John scores that depend on his writing. Idk. just rambling.

I like AotC... Nothing from Minority Report catches me. At all.

And HP PoA... and even Terminal... Compare those to the last 2 Star Wars scores.. I know they are not the same kind of movie... But the 1st and the 3rd HP movies show that John Williams is still in step... And is creating great music, appropriate for the films he scores.
