Did anyone notice in "The Resurrection Stone" when lily's theme is about to start at around 1:38 in the background the harp (i think) is very close to the rendition of "A Window to the Past" in POA's "Finale"? I think think this is the work of Conrad Pope and I think it's a very nice hint to PoA and Williams' score, a nicer hint would have been using "A Window to the Past" since this would have been the perfect place for it.

Is there really a chance that John Williams may retire?? That would be awful.

Ok that thread turned out to bash me a little. Sinceit turned out to be about Remote Control(MV), let's see why poeple hate them so much. Well there use of electric sounds may be wierd but not always. Also the use of electric guitar isnot that bad, I liked Black Hawk Down it has some nice cues. And let's change the word hate to dislike.

Well there are always threads praising composers and people stating there favorite themes by a cretain favorite composer. Now lets have some bashing. oh and state your least favorite John Williams cue if there is any.

Ok we are half way through the Academy Year, the oscar is in February this year. So any scores worthy to be nominated yet?? Mr Williams hasnot given anything but still we have 6 more months. So what do you guys think are eligible nominees that have been released or yet to be released??

I think it's just great I just regret not recording it when it was on classic fm like 2 years ago. I'd love a one with lyrics. We should work on getting one don't know how. If you explore the site you'll find a piano solo of it and alot more I Love PoA.

Does anyone have any other Harry Potter recordings of John Williams' concerts????

I have a DVD extract but there are alot of noises like Rosemerta's knocking and horse sounds can't get a clear track but you can hear most of the song in the background. Anyone can help with the extract please step up, I'm trying to clear the whole complete score but I'm still new to these stuff. Oh and what do you think of winter's spell??

I found a viola rendetion of a winter's spell it's just great, john williams did a great job. It's just great if anyone wants it tell me to send you a link to a site. I think it's a great piece and should take alot more attention.

Does anyone remeber when classic fm aired a window to the past and a Winter's spell. It was before the release of PoA. Did anyone by anychance record a winter's spell. I know that I am annoying but I really really want it.

They are nice. But go to the site of the movie and click on each character, with each character there's a different piece. I think they sound really good just hope they'll be in the movie.

I just wanted to ask why do you thunk John Williams is not returning for Order of the Phoenix. He didn't do Goblet of Fire because he wanted to do memoirs of a Geisha. Apart from the David Yates - The Director- wanting to hire Hooper I think he should come back. I really really want him to come back.

Does anyone has the music when Krum puts his name in the goblet. Also when they bring out the goblet in the golden thing and dumbledore taps it and it starts to melt. I've been looking for them everywhere

hey from the reading the book it's kind of emotional. But a wailing woman wld be scary in HP. Unless he dies in the end of 7 That would work fine.

Not me. I just thaught that john would have been a good choice for this movie since it's all emotional and deep, I was hoping a more like Munich/Schindler's List kind of score. Besides John's work on the Potter movies is just extremly good the main theme is just too good. I liked Doyle's Score, but I was kind of hoping for another john williams. None the less I'll see that movie on opening night.
