Just watched the Monsters U trailer..... Not impressed! In fact it looks like the least interesting Pixar film yet. If the first film never existed and this was the introduction these characters it would never get made.... It just looks and feels like such a cash in movie. Bummer.
i agree!

okay,
btw I have the 2006 Terminator blu and while the remastered offers superior picture quality I won't double dip on it. The original film was not a beauty on the big screen, I don't expect it to be a beauty off it.
well, the difference is radical, but whatever you like.
But it's still annoying that they didn't include the original audio track with the original effects. Anyway...
(still waiting for The Abyss and True Lies...)
-
why would that be spoilers?
because the size of the pictures is large, and it may take a bit to load the page to some..
So, in case anyone doesn't want to see them, it'd be better to put them in spoilers so as to avoid waiting for this page to load.

Some screenshots from the Earthquake Bluray in case anyone is interested to buy it:
-
The third one sucked too, the two Cameron films are the only ones worth owning
if you want to buy the box-set you should make sure that it includes the remastered bluray of the first film.
I don't hate the 3rd one like I do the fourth, it has some terminator moments that work, but it wasn't necessary.
Thank God Universal agreed with SS when he couldn't come up with a sequel to ET that it just stop there, If only T2 had been the end.
and if only Return of the Jedi (the original version) was the end of the entire Star Wars universe...

yes, the music is Zimmer's MOS, and that kid has added some percussion on top.

ok.
Is 7 from a western indeed?
the rhythm looks like it. and it reminds me of something.
-
2 is
Tintin - first cue
7 may be from a western.
6 is LOST? I don't know..
by the way, that means that the inception score is out there?
-
I would recommend getting the one from Amazon.co.uk while it's still there. It might be slightly dearer than the retail price, but the album is really worth it.
Karol
OMG! is that guy nuts who sells a used one for over 1500 pounds, while there are new ones for 27?

Oh, i was just thinking about this score yesterday, and i was gonna watch the film again one of these days.
I guess this will be gone in no time right?
i can't afford any other purchase right now.
the scene with the sacrifice and the music, is one of my favourites ever!

I hated The Lady Vanishes.
I loved The Lady Vanishes. (saw it for the first time a couple of years ago)
Yesterday I saw for the first time in whole, Grease!
it was enjoying..
Today I think I'll watch Baby: Secret of the Lost legend, with a Jerry Goldsmith score.
I know that it may be bad, but i love those 80s films..

just bump this thread with this beautiful piece for a melancholic hour after midnight (which is now here)
(from LA REINE MARGOT)
-
yeah, works fine here too.
-
So, i guess noone knows anything similar with another score, right?
Maybe I'll post this at FSM too..
-
I just got the other day a replacement booklet (the newly bound booklet) and I'm glad! The other one had started collapsing..

A friend suggested 2 William Ross soundtracks:
Touchback and The Mighty Macs.

I don't think so.
It reminded me an incident with my niece who is 4 years old.
The other day she watched The Lion King for the first time and as i was told, she didn't want to see it after Mufasa's death, and they stopped the DVD.
That's overprotectiveness! They should have made her watch the rest of the film, so that she learns the lesson of the story! I'm sure she would have loved it, had she finished watching the film. Sometimes, you have to force your children to do things they don't want to do in order for them to become better persons! So, do this please: make your niece Watch the rest of the film. Then, if she's still depressed, show her a film like Apocalypse Now, then she'll realize The Lion King is not so bad after all.
Well, I think she was screaming and didn't want to see it! and it wouldn't be good for her parents to force her to see it. And how they could do it even if they wanted to? Tie her to the sofa?
I'll try when she's much older.. (probably she won't even remember that she started watching it once)
The thing is, I provide her with the DVDs to watch, since I'm the only one in the family that is into films and animation and such, and one day at the telephone she told me not to send her anything with "bad things".
I didn't know about the lion King incident, I found out afterwards, so now I understood what she meant!!
Still strange how she wasn't affected by Snowwhite and Bambi. I guess the lion King scene is more harsh! Especially for a 4 years old child.
(Now I'm anxious to hear her opinion on Toy Story. My sister told me not to give her anything which is computer animation since she herself doesn't like it. But i insisted that those Pixar films are very good)

Maybe we'll try again when she's 10 years old?

Got that right
50% off Criterion? Lord please, no...
I'll probably wait for the B&N sale though, because i've purchased enough this past fortnight (3 Blurays and 4 cds).
And maybe I'll get free Criterion Blurays from them again as last time!
Koray have you got Badlands?
I haven't seen the film but i love Mallick films.
I wonder if I should get that..
I have in my criterion list to buy some Hitchcock films, On the Waterfront and Charade.
Also I'd like to buy the Three Colors trilogy, but i hear there are some problems either with the audio in Blanc, or with the framing in Bleu.
By the way, for anyone that loves Dick Tracy as i do, a zavvi exclusice steelbook is coming in September!
I never cared for those Disney US releases which have the DVD too (it irritates me very much that they don't allow you to have an option and buy the Bluray only!), so I'll buy this for sure.
Unfortunately I missed the other Zavii exclusive steelbook of Roger Rabbit.

The first reviews are in:
This is destined to be a masterpiece.
I'm very curious to read reviews of respectable film music critics..
-
I am the only person on earth who hasn't seen it yet.
You are not alone!
I've never seen it, and probably never will, as with all these MARVEL superhero films.
-
really, it's so awful.
perhaps you feel that way because you watched it for the first time as a grown up?
i don't know.
But I'm sure it makes a huge impression on a child.
and even if it is awful, aren't there classic bad movies? (Roger Corman classics etc..)
How many times did you see Jurassic Park 3D in theatre?
