filmmusic got a reaction from Bespin in What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)
A gem of a film, and a masterpiece of soundtrack by Michael Nyman.
I saw this when it first came out in theaters, just randomly, unaware about its plot.
The 4k UHD comes highly recommended!

A visual masterpiece!
Sets, costumes, visual effects, audio effects.. all first rate!
Some may find the Chris Tucker character irritating, but I found him funny enough (especially during the attack at the opera house and after). To be honest I found the Jovovich character more irritating.

Most of you mention action-sci-fi-epic movies.
What about dramas?

Well, you're missing then some masterpieces.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit
The story is entertaining if lightweight. What really makes this film stand out is how well the live action elements are blended in with the animation. And it's still mind-blowing how Amblin and Disney managed to get WB and the other animation companies to lend their beloved characters in some really inspired scenes (like the dueling Daffy/Donald piano sequence). Those stand out more than Bob Hoskins' Eddie Valiant or the annoying Roger Rabbit.

Some examples would be helpful.
I do have Fateless, I think that is a European film, as well as The Legend of 1900. So I suppose I should have said American and prominent European films.
I'm guessing Cinema Paradiso is a no-brainer so I'll pick that up sometime.

I seem to remember them annotated on some of his conductor scores as "palm clusters".

Just listen to those 3 tracks to start.
If you like them, on a later different occasion, try the whole OST album.
