well, I cannot put it in words.
The faces mostly, look unnatural to me.

Doesn't the picture on the right look unnatural to you? even if it has more detail?

    What is EV? (extended version?)
I'm talking about the 4k blu-ray of the theatrical edition.
They say the 5.1 mix is the original mix.
And it's evident from the "whoosh" sounds of the main titles. It doesn't feature those other sounds that are in the remix.

I cannot spend Christmastime without watching my favorite holiday film!
And large part is due to the great Williams score!

Anyone who starts the beginning of the range later than Jane Eyre or ends it earlier than The Force Awakens... is just wrong.

That said, None But the Brave is pretty damn excellent and so is this:

    Nope

EDIT: I should have been more clear.

The two pieces recorded in London in March 1968 at the Mr. Chips sessions ["A Place Of My Own (Heidi’s Theme)" and "Love Theme From ‘Heidi’"] are only in the narration album portion of the disc and not in the new main program.

The rest of the music on the narration album is from the main score sessions recorded in January 1968 in Germany, and are sometimes chopped up or looped within the narration album.  Every single cue used in the narration album is present in the new main program - in complete, unedited, unlooped form there.

    True!
My doctoral dissertation was about John Williams's style (from 1975 and on) and involved much musicological theoretical analysis, but I did the kind of work Pierre asked, for 71 movies! (which was really a sidetrack from my true analysis).
Doing that kind of work for just one movie that Pierre wanted would take just 3-4 hours tops.
Now, I agree too that some responses were a bit rude, but @Pierre, calling them idiots, doesn't exactly honor you either.
Finally, I find it hard to believe that Williams himself found the time to work on this with Pierre, but anyway, maybe I'm wrong about that, I don't know.

I loved HOOK in 1991 and I love it now. I think Spielberg does, too, but it being a critical failure and the many criticism towards it made him resent it publically. Too bad, because imho it’s a genuine classic.
