  1. I am laughing because those who say they don't understand why any cares what someone thinks about a movie but then those people share what they thought about a movie just does not make sense.
  2. I am there that weekend I use it as repository for film reviews as a convenience
  3. M3gan is a critical hit. That is a surprise but a good film is possible in any genre, except video game.
  4. Michael Giacchino's Them horrifies me. I love the original and have no faith in his directoral abilities and his scoring is often mediocre. Plus Them is an iconic 50's treasure. Please mG don't fuck it up. Fyi I have always thought the best way to "remake" Them was to do a modern tale and use the original as a piece of actual history and 70 years later it happens again.
  5. Imagine being to guy who said to James Cameron, Aliens will be a career ender, T-2 good luck with that, Titanic no one will care about a love story on Titanic, blue people??? I have two things to say about this Cameron guy, Piranha 2.
  6. The films are incomparable. That makes no sense.
  7. Star Trek the Motion picture is hands down the best of this list, even though it may not be the favorite. AmisZzzzzzzz
  8. Many of these films were in 2021
  9. Star Trek Prodigy. This is surprising how excellent this is. Its also dark and dangerous. I even like Giacchino's main theme, very Spider-like. Tonight is the season(series?) finale. Ghe future of Star Fleet rides in the balance.
  10. Its made more money than any film in this short time. Those who wish to see it do poorly are sad little folks
  11. The score is serviceable which is not high praise but in this day and age where mediocre is as high as you get, with the exception of our Lord and maestro, John Williams, the film succeeds well based on the acting storytelling and visuals.
  12. Top Gun Maverick it's the best film of the year. If the academy Award wants to become relevant again it needs to crown this best picture of 2022 for too simple reasons It is the best films the most popular film of 2022 The most disappointing show of 2022 is easily Black Panther Wakanda forever What a misfire
  13. Mission Impossible Fallout. Outstanding. It's both a fantastic action film mixed with an old fashioned love story. It's one of my favorite films of the last 10 years.
  14. Violent Night Die Hard meets Home Alone. Fun fun fun with a sledge hammer. The Invitation. J should have disliked it. But I had fun with it.
  15. Remember these are no more valid than our own opinions. Time has the best opinion as all these score stand tall if not taller than they did back in the Day.
  16. Saw We saw it Saturday morning at the 11:35 showing. I will go once more and see that the IMAX theater but I want to be in the middle
  17. Well I didn't die but I will neither confirm nor deny that way the water rolled down my face is any indication that I had a fun time. There needs to be a special Academy Award for achievement in special effects. There is not competition. This is a leap forward. Its just a shame Horner is gone. He would have made the film better.
  18. Its a better score than goldsmiths alien. And it's not so much a horror score as it is an action score. If you seen die hard then you've heard some of the aliens score
  19. Clearly you are not a real HUGE fan of Horner otherwise you would have see and heard Aliens. I'm disappointed in the Way of the Water score.
  20. Because Horner died. In the latter decades of the 20th century in the first decade of the 21st century there were three great composers unapproached by anyone else. John Williams Jerry Goldsmith and James Horner. There are other competent sometimes great composers but no one ever stays at the level that those three reached over and over. The 2020s has perhaps the least capable film composers in film history.
