  1. Even for a newbie such as me, this is more than a bit sick...
  2. AICN has put this up....like him, I have no idea whether it is genuine or not - but it rocks!!!!! Greg :-) http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=18590
  3. Nope - can't figure out how to change it, sorry Neil! Stefancos - that really does not surprise me, but the question remains since anyone who voted for "Always" is going to have an opinion on Star Wars....and so on and so on..... Greg :-)
  4. I'm intrigued - many people praising one then not praising it and praising another then slating another etc etc etc..... Cards on the table - I want to know which you think is the best Star Wars SCORE....... I am NOT on about Soundtrack albums, that's for another time, neither am I interested (at this point) about any mistakes in mixing, discussions about wrong balances etc etc......I am interested in only what you think is the best SCORE. Cheers! Greg :-)
  5. Trevor Jones......Best known in the UK for his Brass Band work, but his film scores have a cult following (Labyrinth, anyone??).......general opinion in the UK is thast they are different people, but they are one and the same, and he is an incredibly inspiring conductor to work with.....he recently managed to make me almost collapse in tears at a concert he did in Pershore Abbey recently whilst conducting Eric Ball's "Kingdom Triumphant" - trouble was I was playing Drums for him at the time!!!!!! (a little-known sideline of mine.....)
  6. The great man - and a far better conductor than he is composer!!! Have workd with him on a few occasions.....
  7. But the world has yet to see the sense in doing what it does for many conductors/composers (certainly in the UK anyway...) - give him his own DVD!!!!!!!! - docs, a concert or two - conducting a concert and giving a commentary.......bliss...... Sign the petition at the bottom of the page, and get hold of the the ET DVD which, from a conductor's point of view, is the best example of his skill in existence as yet........
  8. There have been far too many false starts and fake rumours over the years for this to be any more believable - from a certain point of view.......I hope it happens soon, I really do (don't really wanna see Indy cracking his zimmerframe and sipping his Sanatogen, do you?!?!??), but at the moment my hopes are not exactly raised by this latest piece of information...
  9. Absolutely - I totally agree with them too - it was obviously deliberate...... Thanks for that one - thought you were originally on about ANH but, either way, I still hadn't seen it.... Cheers!!
  10. Hmmmm - interesting - hadn't spotted this before - there is definitely a connection between this and the Love theme, and there is more than a hint of the Force them from the Original trilogy in there.....invert it.....alter a note or two....it's there....I'm humming it along to myself already....just goes to show how complex but accessible JW's music can be, doesn't it? Will listen out for this theme - given its connections it sounds like a dead cert for a prominent part in Episode III.....bloody well spotted!!!!
  11. Ummmmmm - OK - I've missed something here - when does this happen???? THought I could point out most of the bloopers in ANH - and there are an awful lot of them - but that one's a new one on me!!!! Give us a clue.....wanna see wanna see....
  12. I got an old one in the cupboard - sounds like high time I put it back in for a few minutes!!!!! Good to know it wasn't only me who was pissed off with it..... Greg :-)
  13. Don't have CD-Rom - only DVD-ROM or CD-RW - both good quality, but AOTC won't play on either.... Greg :-)
  14. Exsqueeze me? Baking powder? Thanks muchly for the tip Neil, but a little explanation would be super! Is it going to be as simple as "Buy a second copy and draw round the edge"? Erm - pardon the dumb Brit here, but exactly what is magic marker? Id it the permanent kind? Or the easily-erasable white-board kind? Greg :-)
  15. Hey all - I'm sure this must appear somewhere on these boards, but I'm damned if I can find it.....so apologies for the repetition.....apologies for the repetition.......apologies for the repetition...... Anyone know how on earth am I supposed to get around the "Will not Play on PC/Mac" thing? I know there is a way of doing it - I just ain't got it yet....all I really want to do is record the CD onto HD so I can add bits to compilation etc..... Help???
  16. Trouble is, every time someone contributes to the thread, it gets bumped up and Leonardo gets a read....and the thread looks good.... ......oh shit...... Far be it for a newbie to say so, but - erm - Moderator? - would you please be kind enough to shut down this bollocks? Greg :-) (Pardon my language, everybody.....)
  17. The number of Knives/Guns/Weapons in this person's arsenal would be somewhat worrying from a psychologists point of view..... .....and, to quote the fedora-adorned one, "It belongs in a museum" as Ender rightly states....
  18. I have done this with ROTJ - great fun!! Won't spoil it too much for you, but as far as I can figure out: The only tracks missing from the 2-disc set that are on the anthology are Lapti Nek (on the extras CD) and the Ewok Celebration.....the other cues from the Anthology ROTJ and Extras disc all appear on your 2-disc set at some point, though often with a different title..... As far as sound quality goes, use your Anthology CD's as much as is possible (IMO). Of course, I'm sure someone will correct me - please feel free chaps!!!!!!! (And chapesses, naturally).
  19. Hmmm - I started e thread very much like this over on the LIve and Let Die Board at IMDB....needless to say, the answers here are far more authoritative than the chaps at IMDB.....I'm a gonna get editing now.....License to Kill is in for the chop.....
