  1. This is a nice video, probably from the 90's, shot live in Japan...
  2. The score on the BotFoJ OST album is what? Like 20-30 minutes? And yet, strangely, all the highlights seem to be there. The one with the narration we already got. Besides, if we wanted to listen to the narration, we'd simply watch the movie!
  3. No, I like it quite a lot. It's certainly one of Elfman's best efforts. Not sure yet whether I want to splash out on the expanded album, though...
  4. Well, we're all humans. Maybe it's not exactly likely to happen this way, but it's at least possible. Stranger things have happened. The way we're talking and speculating now, those responsible for licencing might also be thinking, "Mission Impossible, Minority Report, Far and Away. Hmmm. Let's see what other Tom Cruise projects we could have a crack at next."
  5. Have you gotten it already? If yes, you may enjoy it for 10 seconds only.
  6. Yeah, exactly, same here. I actually already love WotW, but I feel like there's so much "hidden" stuff that would make me see the score in a completely different and new light. Kinda like when the Expanded The Lost World came out--that was a revelation for sure. For me, anyway! And I don't feel the same way about BotFoJ!
  7. I think both score fit their respective movies perfectly. However, I love the score of BotFoJ more, while wanting the expanded WotW more.
  8. Completely different scores. Can you really say which is objectively or subjectively better? All you can ask is which do you personally prefer?
  9. If the next expanded JW was one of these 2, which would you desire more? I gotta say WotW, although I may love BotFoJ more. The former seems to have a lot more previously unreleased stuff...
  10. As far as it's possible to tell from the samples, the sound quality did seem to be somewhat improved. I have to listen to the CDs themselves to be certain, of course...
  11. You are! Not me. I haven't gotten the Disaster Boxset yet. 😂 Oh, I've heard it, since a friend of mine has bought it on day one, but I keep putting it off so far. Also, I don't have the expanded Monsigneur yet.
  12. Well, it was apparently an official poster. One of them, anyway. I myself have never seen it before, but if it actually was, then it's self-evident.
  13. Who among you guys here got the Expanded Mission: Impossible from Elfman? Is that worth getting? I have only the OST album, and I feel like all the highlights are there (3 tracks)... 😂
  14. Man, this gives me goosebumps.... This was written more or less a year before Jurassic Park! You can feel the same energy and raw power in the music.
  15. Is it just me, or does Nicole Kidman have an incredibly slim waist on that cover... That's gotta be photoshop! Far and Away is a pretty good movie. Enjoyable, fun, emotional. Good cinematography, good story, and (of course) good music. I have no idea why it bombed at the box office...
  16. Far and away the best purchase I made so far this year...
  17. It just occurred to me... Only last year we got Minority Report, this year we're getting Far and Away. Next year War of the Worlds and/or Born on the Fourth of July? This Tom Cruise/John Williams streak gotta continue!
  18. To be honest, I have never cared that much about source music. Sure, it'd be great to have really, literally everything just for completeness' sake, but I've never gone crazy over some obscure source music...
  19. I don't need the exact timestamps, but when do they play, mostly? In that bar/fight club?
  20. What source music? At what points in the movie do they play? I'm not familiar enough with the movie/score...
  21. I wonder how long it'll take for this to sell out... As always. By the way, has the HP boxset finally sold out and is now OOP?
  22. Arguably one of the most exhilarating, powerful, and expressive moments in film music history... Can't wait to hear this in full and remastered... I think at 2:25 John Williams was channeling his own Olympic Fanfare.
  23. This? Didn't know about this... Well, like they say, there's nothing new under the sun.
