Malcolm says that in Lost World to Ludlow, Hammond's nephew...Not sure why you're relating that... And it is not clear that they are together. It's clear that there's a relationship brewing but it's not clear that they're actually in one during the movie, which I think they are not. I think it is intended that they will be in one at the end because of the kid situation.

No, you're right. Technically they never say they're not. But I'm going on how well I know the movie and I think the story is trying to say that they're not but they will be.

Did I not make myself clear? They weren't a couple in the movie. They definitely had a relationship brewing which is clearly shown in the end when she sees him with the kids. But he's not actually with her at all in the movie. To more clearly explain the car scene (which btw, I have the movie completely memorized), Malcolm had just said before that he was married occationally and was always on the lookout for a future ex-Mrs. Malcolm. This obviously disgusted Grant, and he liked Sattler and that's why he said that they were together. Or more specifically... "By the way...Dr. Sattler...She's not like...available, is she?" "Why?" "Yeah, I'm sorry...You two are..?" "Yeah."

He wasn't actually with her. He just liked her and was making sure Malcolm didn't go for her.

You could be right on that actually. I hate Laura Dern anyway.

I'll tell you exactly why they did it. In the book, Ellie is engaged. She wasn't in the movie but for some reason, they decided to make her engaged in III as if they had been following the book, which they didn't. Well I guess that isn't exactly why...because I don't know why they decided to actually make her engaged as if they had been following the book in the first one.

slob? whats that? I think he just had glasses and beard... I've read plenty of Crichton. And JP is my favorite. I know it well. I have no idea where you got that fat slob from. Nedry of course was, but he was in the movie too. And he didn't have glasses either. Malcolm did...but he did in the movie too... But you're right about the beard, at least. It's also my favorite movie, btw....and second favorite Williams score. Oh and the quote in my signiture is from the movie. Nedry says it.

How about the Scherzo for Motorcycle and Orchestra? What about the Theme for the Grail? I'm not foaming at the mouth by any means, but these most certainly are not things that Williams just thought of out of lack of inspiration.

I second that!

Have you seen Hook or A.I.? Hook happens to be one of my favorite movies, thank you very much. And I happen to like LC better than TOD.

Yes, I'm a composition major in college right now. Well as I said...it's just my opinion. And I was suprised that it was no one else's. Because I'm sure I like Williams and scores just as much as all of you so it's just a suprise.

I think E.T. was the most captivating and emotional ending. With a close second to Schindler's List.

Jeez...quite a welcome I've received... I honestly am in complete disbelief that a group of sophisticated Williams/score lovers (and most of you are probably even composers yourself) do not have The Patriot at least in your top 10 of Williams scores if not top 10 of any score. With me it's ranked number 1 with Williams scores and any score period. I'm not saying it's a fact that it's better. This is my opinion, and always has been since 2000 when it was released. It actually makes me sad that some people don't want it...

I think Duel of Fates is quite a profound piece. It is also my favorite on the list.

I seem to be the only Patriot lover here. I'll go with the Main Title.

The Patriot, although I was listening to JW Greatest Hits (69-99) (disc 1) on my way home today. I believe I was on Parade of the Slave Children when I arrived.
