This might be my favorite or my 2nd favorite work of Jerry's. I love how rich it is in themes. ITs very Williams-like actually.

Zelda music is far from the best game music out there. Lots of better game composers and NO I dont mean just Michael Giaccino. Yasunori Mitsuda's music and Nobuo Uematsu's music for games is far better IMO.

How did I know even after a few months of missing out on this board this thread would STILL be at the top of the main page despite all these people saying how they are "unimpressed" with Giacchino's music. Thank you JWFan.net for not letting me down!

I saw it. IT was OK. About what I expected. It had a dark tone and feel to it which made it cool. I suppose that best moment was Palpy all like "Are you threatening me?". I got a kick out of that.

This thread needs a bump! This show gives me hope that there is still can appreciate good music.

I have more than just a bad feeling. I personally dislike remakes. I have a natural loathing towards them. However, I will give it a chance since it is Spielberg.

I dunno man. 2001 was a decent year for Williams. 2002 however, was pretty weak. CoS was really noteworthy. 2003 Williams was MIA. 2004 Williams got his act together somewhat with the very good PoA and the fairly good The Terminal. 2005? Tough to say. Williams last SW score was weak. So Episode III isn't as anticipated by me that greatly. We'll see.

OH I can hardly wait! Well at least maybe this one will have SOME dignity.

Back again! I just checked out that Mecenaries suite. Very nice! I love how on that web page they like to make it look like Giachino composed most of it when he actually apparently composed only the main theme to my knowledge. Some shrewd advertising there! Anyway of course I am still getting it regardless.

Pftt ...... The blasters in SW dont do much damage typically. More than likely Vader used som "Force Protection" technique or some BS. Just use your imagination.

OH yeah and I also saw the film. It was OK. Not great certainly but not as terrible as some critics were making out. I am willing to bet Warner Bros. execs are crying like babies right about now.

Judging by this weekend's box office numbers where the film opened in sixth place its getting even more "fantastic" revenues. You know something folks ...... I am starting to think it was a GOOD IDEA Williams did not score this.

Yep! Mike Giacchino has become the talk of the town! Soon the entire message board will be discussing him more than JW. Ricard will announce he is turning the site into MGiacchinofan.net. Stefan and Neil will com on here daily to talk about the latest additions to their vast Giacchino collections. Lucas will announce that Giacchino will be replacing John Williams on Indy 4 and Star Wars Episode 3. Sorry, I am trying to give Neil and Stefan nightmares! Heh Heh Heh ........... I can only imagine this images taking root in their minds!
