Yes, there's plenty of strong competition. http://jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3800&hl= http://jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=993&hl= - Rob, who saw a thread at CommanderBond.net once debating the subject of whether Blofeld's cat was evil

If it was intended as a reference, your connections make sense, but they're hardly enough to prove anything. It could just as easily be a co-incidence.

If JW names his own CD tracks, why do the cues on the scoring logs often have different titles to the ones on the albums?

What is the Last Film You Watched? - Part II
robthehand replied to Lurker's topic in General Discussion
Brazil is the only one of his films that I've thoroughly enjoyed. I've admired a lot of individual things in his other films, but that's the only one that truly works overall for me. I used to really like Time Bandits (when I was 10 or 11), but now it doesn't do anything for me at all. -

I really liked the film the first time, though it wasn't anything like what I expected (better, probably, but just totally different). Second time, when I knew what to expect, I loved it. -
What happened to the complete cue lists that used to be on the main site? I can't find them any more...

Fiennes was good, but like just about every other character in this movie, he didn't get nearly enough screen time to have any effect on me whatsoever.

The Killing and The Asphalt Jungle would make a very nice double feature. Don't really remember anything about Asphalt Jungle other than that I enjoyed it. I'll try and see that one again soon. The Killing is very good, though the narration can be a little grating, and the score is weak. -
I imagine this will go for less than $25.

Oh absolutely! Definitely better of the two. Agreed. I didn't care for what I heard of Godzilla in the film, so I'm not getting that just yet. I'll listen to the promo and see if I like it, then decide abotu that one. But The Dark Crystal is a really good score.

I didn't until you posted that. <_<

How much is your JW CD collection worth?
robthehand replied to Josh500's topic in General Discussion
Original Raiders CD - $40. Varese DE of The Fury - $60. Hours of glorious JW music - priceless. <_< Seriously, I have no idea. How do you calculate this? All my CDs are unsealed and used, so I guess that reduces the value as well. -
Apart from Braveheart, I can't get into much of his work post-Patriot Games (which is a truly awful score).
-
I can imagine this score working well in the film, but it doesn't really do anything for me on album. Not bad, just nothing special.
-
I've never had any problems with the FX in Raiders, they're good enough and used well, I don't see the problem. And what does a "realistic" ghost look like, anyway?

If Cuaron returns for Potter 7, will Williams too?
robthehand replied to crumbs's topic in General Discussion
Cuaron's worked with Doyle a few times in the past, so I'd say it's more likely Doyle would return. -
Doesn't your TMP have a slightly more significant difference to the one posted.
-
The expanded version has the "Composed and Conducted by Jerry Goldsmith" at the bottom, in blue. That's the only difference, I think.
-
Why isn't Jerry on the list?
-
Though it looks even better LP size.
