  1. No... The colour and widescreen are both correct for the movie. If you want a clue, it's from a 1960s horror/thriller film.
  2. Correct! And War of the Roses is wrong for the second one.
  3. Have you seen Badlands and/or Days of Heaven? I wouldn't describe myself as a die-hard fan, or even a fan particularly, but I love those two.
  4. The Exorcist is a classic. The Omen has a lot going for it (terrific acting and score, but a very silly script). It's a lot of fun, but not in the same league as The Exorcist, IMO.
  5. Obviously not the huge box set, but FSM have just released Land of the Pharaohs (Dimitri Tiomkin). 2 CDs.
  6. eBay prices aren't much better. The only review I've read that compared the two suggested that the Image DVD was even worse. At best it's the same - it's certainly not better.
  7. The old Image Entertainment (U.S.) release is very hard to find, I bought the U.K. (Region-Free) DVD available from Amazon. Sadly the transfer is rather poor (open-matte, scratched and faded), but it's still watchable. I'd definitely recommend it if you're a fan of the film, especially at that price (and since the chances of a re-release are pretty slim).
  8. Correct. About the film that is - I can't see the Von Sydow resemblence, but nevermind.
  9. My ears do that sometimes, and I'd happily swap them for a pair that don't. It can be a serious inconvenience. Don't forget the best one, "plonker". And we never, ever saying "parking lot".
  10. OK, this will probably give it away, but that's Alec Guinness in the picture.
  11. Has the Final Cut been released in anything other than digital?
  12. No. It's a British film, British actor, and Arsenic and Old Lace was from the correct decade.
  13. Completely off-topic and unrelated to anything, but I was browswing YouTube and came across one of my favourite scenes from Ken Russell's Tommy (based on The Who's rock-opera). Worth it to hear Jack Nicholson and Oliver Reed singing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zhh0tZAUw5o
