Well, I'm sorry, I knew some people wouldn't like it, this was originally going to be a release simply for my self... I for one, wanted to be able to listen to the FILM VERSION of the score... just be grateful you're getting it... Plenty of people enjoy TPM Ultimate Edition... Another reason I made the edits is because we can listen to the OST for unedited (mostly) cues.. as for the Dialog+SFX, what else do you suggest I do, magically make the dialog and sound effects disappear? And I may still make another polite version so don't mess your knickers

Let me clear up.. This is a Film Version Complete Score... Every single cue is exactly as it appeared in the film, that was my point with it from the beginning - so to your answer, yes, I did recreate all the crappy edits in the film. LOL ... And I didn't use the bass drum inserts... It's an enjoyable release, if it really bothers people that much, I might make a "polite" version.. that is a more smoothed out less edited version, but unlike this version it obviouslly wont be in sync with the film..

Hey, I think that ten-second cue when Obi-Wan smashes Grievous's droids is intact! Much looking forward to your edit, Jack. Actually , LOL ... it's edited in the film, but I haven't made the edit because I simply could not hear what the edit was.. the SFX were too loud... it's about four seconds longer in the film.. but that's the only place I didn't make an edit

True. I think I will edit it this way, although keep in mind... - the "Droid Cave" music, although it has the gutteral singing of the ballet, does not match any film cue. - the last two-three notes of "Droid Cave" appear during Anakin and Padme's conversation (where Anakin promises to save Padme), after which the music segues to Obi-Wan's Utapau arrival (which is the "Trandoshan Quest Accept" music). Yes, because this is how it goes in the film (except that most of "Chasing Grievous" is dialled out, so "Palpatine's Seduction" leads to nothing). I don't think so. This scene is silent in the film, but it was scored with the beginning of "Grievous and the Droids" (try watching Episode III with a CD player, everything syncs perfectly). As elvisjones2005 pointed out, this bit is in the same key as the end of "Droid Cave." Nope... the very last thing you hear.. like the last 3 seconds of mus_wookie_quest_accept are DEFINETELY from the last 3 seconds of the Beginning space battle.. as Obi-Wan Jumps out of his ship and hits that droid with his light saber.. I'm positive! 100% and I think you've possibly misunderstood what scene I'm talking about because Grievous and the Droids isn't used at all in the beginning space battle, it isn't used until the point where Grievous starts fighting with Obi-Wan and Anakin in his ship and then he smashes the window and makes his escape...

I've now finished editing the entire film and I must say it's a very enjoyable listen I'm now creating all the MP3's which is a very straightforward process and then I'll be done.. NO CUE! LOL

The things that I really would've liked on the OST would be... All complete parts of the Space Battle at the beginning including the part with the Rebel Fanfare. The part of music where Grievous and Obi-Wan are dueling and Grievous is spinning his lighsabers and also the bit where it zooms in on his eyes (i really loved those trill woodwinds with that held brass chord - very clever) Transitional Fanfares The part where Palpatine lashes out at the Jedi who are about to take him under arrest. The part where Anakin comes in his spaceship to find Mace and Palpatine duelling... The part where Count Dooku, Anakin, and Obi-Wan are fighting

But that track just slowly died into the Grevious string swirls. I think it could be composed and performed. I liked the way it was scored with a waltz-ish quality. It's hard to hear what's going on under all the SFX, but its definetely unreleased. After that, the film uses "Grievous speaks to Lord Sidious" but without any choir when it would normally come in.

I agree. Given the amount of recorded music as reported by the recording session reports, and the amount used in the film, there must be a lot of unused material. They use the Escape from Naboo track, a part of the Arena track from Ep2 twice, Activate the Droids which then edits into The Gungans Fight Back, and The Tide Turns, to mention a few... Plus, we don't hear all of the music from the tracks on the OST, so technically some OST music is unused.

But that works both ways. Some are edited down for the OST, but others have been edited or looped in the film. For this score the former seems to be more common. John- who will do a DVD rip when it's available Exactly *nods*
