Nobody read the DAily Mail Review? (UK Newspaper) .. He gave it 2 out of 5 stars.. But that's just him being his typical anti-sci-fi self...

Just wondering really.. why is it that this score seems so sort of rushed...? Did Williams have a tight schedule? I mean.. it's a great score.. but take a look into it and you'll see almost direct rips from his previous scores.. for example take that section of the Quidditch match... where Harry and Malfoy are ducking up and down throughout the inside of the audience seats.. (I'm thinking Zam the Assasin) ... and Gilderoy Lockhart's theme and "No Ticket" (Last Crusade) are remarkably similar too....

I really am quite dissapointed that Williams isn't scoring this film.. I think he possibly is too... but I guess it will be interesting to see what Doyle comes up with. I'm not familiar with any of his works, so I don't really know how good of a composer he is, but we will see.. And hey, who knows.. maybe Johnny will come back for Order of the Phoenix (if they ever make the movie) =)

Works fine for me...

Not drops... I think it's some sort of drum.. or maybe Col Legno strings.. hard to tell

One of the reasons is because DVD Audio is around 48,000Hz ... where as CDs are only 44,100Hz (If I remember Correctly)...

I don't think it's a finished shot... the inside of it's mouth doesn't look like it's been rendered with full detail... same goes for the fire..

Last film I saw -- Blade Trinity.. It was damn awful... especially the score..

I know this score like the back of my hand now... 5 stars without a doubt! And I'm sure my likening of it will increase once I actually see what is being scored (or maybe not, seeing as his score has been yet again butchered.... )

Yesh.. It's very innocent.. with the Celesta, and such... perhaps something to do with the birth of the twins?

*sigh* ... It's just so damn insulting to John Williams' intelligence and genuis, to question the usability of any of his new music.. George Lucas should have just left it alone... honestly... I was really hoping that there would be few music edits like this.. but it seems not, and it's a real shame, and I think John Williams probably hates it too,,... when he hears music being used in a place it shouldn't be...
