  1. Sounds.. interesting.. These composers are so lucky to get projects like this!
  2. Actually they were recorded again for both TPM and AOTC bot the TPM recording was used for ROTS... I prefer the recording in The Phantom Menace, You can really feel the fullness of the orchestra and the lovely bass when the timpanis and snare drums come in.. Plus obviouslly the quality is much better than when it was originally recorded for Star Wars... The AOTC Main Title seemed a little "thin" almost to my ears...
  3. PAN DOWN to reveal a REPUBLIC ATTACK CRUISER. Continue to PAN with the Cruiser as TWO JEDI STARFIGHTERS enter and head toward an enemy Battle Cruiser. TRUCK with the Jedi Fighters as they maneuver in unison, dodging flack and enemy laser fire.... Seems like it goes pretty much straight into action..
  4. Uhm.. What about The original "The Imperial March" by John Williams?
  5. They probably will, but I'm not sure.. Maybe it was a partnership deal with The producer of the Azkaban CD and AOL..?
  6. Those music edits were absolutley FOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111 As for the narrator... I'm lost for words.. the "Unite" trailer was just CORNY!!!
  7. I knew that if the score leaked I would not be able to resist the temptation to Download it... But I deliberately pre-ordered the CD so I feel Less guilty LOL and plus,, FREE DVD!!
  8. Anakin's Dark Deeds. I also loved General Grievous and Battle of the Heroes amongst others
  9. POST DELETED BY MODERATOR From the rules: "01 - Personal attacks or offensive language will not be allowed."
  10. I thought this score was absolutely brilliant and so intelligent.. I especially love Psychic Truth and Finale.. He captured the whole "Whodunit" style of this end scene so perfectly... and I love the way he so perfectly captured the resolution to the mystery... it's just so right for the film. I loved every cue on the album.. Oh I also loved "Can you see?" really perfect and gorgeously chilling. I also love the motif that he has going on in this film with the Tremolo strings backed by the marimbas (listen to Everybody Runs!) -- it's very clever music. Also, I love the beautiful cues such as Sean's Theme and A New Beginning... Lovely <3 I just love the originality that this score has... Spyders is so unique and I really love the sort of atmospheric writing John Williams can do .. for example as heard in The Greenhouse Effect .... I was obsessed with this score for a LONG time LOL
  11. Hi Mate. Yes, I agree. Princess Leia's theme is quite sad also. Cheers, Ian I don't think Princess Leia's theme is sad at all, and It's not supposed to be. I think it's romantic and optimistic.. Anyway.. I think the Schindler's List theme is quite sad... And another tear jerker track for me is Stored Memories / Monica's Theme (AI)
  12. Jack, You can post on my board to look for directors and opportunities. I just opened it today, and I'll be luring directors and film students there. http://www.composerarts.com/boards But I'll PM you a good opportunity to do music that gets exposure. If you're willing to write Hip-Hop and 70's rhythm section mixed with a little jazzy orchestral, you should take it up. Money's little, but still good exposure. Cool, I'll register there And thanks for the PM
  13. I have a question... Some of you guys seem to have actual scoring projects. Where can I get started? I'm really keen and very eager to score something, anything... I'll work for free even.. Ive looked for student movies and everything... Any Help?
  14. Speaking of Horrible edits.. T-Rex rescue and Finale .. around 6:39
  15. It's quite a good film ... but the score lets it down a lot in my opinion..
  16. How can it be true 192Kbps when the bitrate of the released ROTS score is only 128? o.O
  17. If it was me I wouldn't care about the money. I would do it for free. LOL The money's just an added bonus...
  18. I have a good Idea.. If I remember correctly, the opening scene to the film Final Destination 2 (with the car crash) was completely unscored.. I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure because I remember thinking it should really have been scored because the scene seemed weird without music.. I think it's got great music potential.. What y'all think?
  19. Hi, will there be another JWFAN composing competition? o_O I'd love to enter it
  20. Hey, I've just made my first real piece using Opus 1.. It took a while to put together and the performance still isn't perfect (Still learning...) but I'm quite happy with the result... For any of you who are curious, it uses the following articulations: Violins (Performance Legato, sus, trem, pfp, legato runs) Viola (Performance Legato, Portamento, sus, trem, pfp) Cello (sus, pfp) Double Bass (sus, pfp) Flute (Performance Legato, pfp, stac) Clarinet (Performance Legato, pfp) Trumpet (Performance Legato, pfp) Tam-tam (Reiben scrape) Timpani (normal hit, trem, trem cresc) Horns (sus, pfp, cresc) Bass Drum Harp http://www.jcxp.net/jack/compositions/Opus%201.mp3 You'll notice the John Williams quote near the end
  21. Overall, I found the score very enjoyable to listen to. However, I disliked Padme's ruminations very much....
  22. Why do some people have to be so negative? Be happy!!! We're all here to celebrate the genuis that is John Williams.. lalalalalala *dances*
