  1. Yeah. I seem to recall realizing that it was over the top, but just letting it go. Hey, if you're going to over-dramatize something, JW's music is probably the best way to go!
  2. One time at church, my friend's cousin from New York was in town (I like her). Afterwards, we weren't able to talk at all. We went to our respective cars, and I was feeling less than the best about it. So I turned on my CD player, and Across the Stars came on. It matched my emotions as her car pulled out, then my car pulled out. Across the Stars really enhanced my ride on the highway that day.  I've been listening to Across the Stars more lately.   On the upside, though, I have noticed that energetic music can sometimes make me imagine that we need to speed up in the car, or a crescendo or sudden stop in the music will happen when a light turns on, or a door shuts, or I'll turn a corner. Stuff like that.
  3. Yes, I'm certain the main who thought that the battle of Geonosis would be just as good with TPM tracked music is willing to pay for an entire orchestra for every weekly episode. True, true.
  4. Williams definitely needs to score the main titles, be it a straight-up recording of the Star Wars Main Titles, or a rendition of the theme(s). I really think it's necessary to have at least one of the themes from the saga (the title theme oughta do it well) to put you in the SW atmosphere, give it a connection to the saga right off the bat, especially considering this is supposed to be sans main characters. I wouldn't be surprised if he does the pilot, and if he could do the occasional episode, that would be terrific. As for the regular composer, I would love it if they had Joel McNeely doing it. No synths, though, unless they have a specific purpose for being there, but they would be with an orchestra. The Royal Scottish National, perhaps?
  5. Right off the top of my head there's the Grail Theme from Last Crusade.
  6. While we're on the subject, where is that statement of Jabba's theme? It's in "Anakin Defeats..." (I don't know if I needed to do that for anyone who somehow hasn't seen TPM, but better safe than sorry) on the OST, right? I haven't been able to find it. Could anyone give me the times?
  7. I'm definitely waiting. I listened to the ringtone, the trailers, and the 1 minute Sony Classical preview, and beyond that will only listen to the 30-second clips on Amazon as I did with the first two (maybe). I want to have the whole thing in my hands when I hear it for the first time.
  8. I have recently begun using Sony Sound Forge to edit soundtracks. I was wondering if this was one of the best I could use, or are there better ones for a decent price ($100 or lower--$150 tops)? Also, in my edits, I've noticed there seem to be some kind of noise on louder parts--does that make sense. Is this because it is a relatively cheap program, or do I have some settings wrong?
  9. Does anyone know exactly why they didn't go with JW in the first place? Anyway, I definitely think the original main theme should be prominent, but not the entire score. As was said before, use it as much as Williams would. Other than that, I'm really keeping an open mind about it. But the Superman theme must stay.
  10. Hey, what's up? I was wondering if anyone knew the chronological order for Dragonheart?
