  1. I love THE KID, sadly unreleased but floating around.
  2. Has anyone found a tracklist yet for this release (due in 3 days)? I'm kind of surprised that WaterTower hasn't released a teaser track already, which they did for Wonder Woman 1984 and Ready Player One.
  3. A more complete list of the music in the game, including tracks by Kevin Kiner and Randy Kerber: https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/The_Sims_4:_Journey_to_Batuu Batuu RadioEdit Beckerman Green and Douek - Ti Lo Laka Guy Mayzig - Galma Harlan Hodges - Marketplace John T. 4. Well, someone has chimed in on Mousebits to say that unfortunately none of the Bill Ross material is in the game, but I would be very interested to hear these Gordy Haab arrangements.
  5. I'm mystified and horrified and fascinated.
  6. Not sure this has been discussed here, but there is a "Symphonic Fantasy" composed by AI that is basically a rip-off of our favorite composer. The first movement sounds an awful lot like Rey's Theme. The piece was recorded by a live orchestra in Hollywood conducted by John Beal, and can be found in all of the usual places (iTunes, Youtube).
  7. I was just reading on one of the Disney music boards that a new Sims 4 expansion includes Galaxy's Edge and features original audio from the land... not clear whether any of the unreleased orchestral pieces from the attractions are included, but probably bears investigation. Apparently, "Batuu radio" plays the following in-game: John T. Williams (Haab arrangement) - FinaleJohn T. Williams (Haab arrangement) - Kylo Ren Arrives at the Battle (Sims)John T. 8. I tried listening on Youtube, and frankly, wasn't surprised that I was completely bored by this stuff. I have never been a fan of these kinds of scores. All action, no heart, and no memorable themes that jump out at me.
  9. Don't forget Sam Cardon. One of my favorite works in this category is Kevin Kaska's concert work "The Wizard of Menlo Park." The finale is especially Williams-esque.
  10. I put together a playlist of highlights that I listen to frequently. This is one of my favorite recent releases and should be a cornerstone in any collection of the maestro’s work.
  11. Love the pizzicato strings in THE RIVER. Really excited about the new release!
  12. Blown away by the sample from “The Telephone Call”. Seems to be a previously unreleased gem. Mine is ordered!
  13. For some reason, I was inspired to revisit this fun score today, and I have to say it is still amongst my favorites of the past decade. Yes, yes, I know it is a pastiche, but it is a damn good one. And to confirm Bloodboal's suggestion above about the extended end title cue on the iTunes release, yes it is an entirely different performance.
  14. I'm in the "Oklahoma Territory" club. And I think the alternate version is my favorite. Just fell in love with this score all over again.
  15. Yes -- sorry, been crazy today. Gave it one good listen, and it didn't disappoint!
  16. I'm also in LA, and I have sometimes received shipments in one day, so we'll see.
  17. Mine shipped too. At least I have something to look forward to.
  18. Really stoked for this release! Can’t come soon enough!
  19. John Williams has made a statement. Quoted in the New York Times: Williams said in a statement Sunday that Bryant’s death was “a terrible and immeasurable loss.” “During my friendship with Kobe, he was always seeking to define and understand inspiration even while modestly, and almost unknowably, he was an inspiration to countless millions,” Williams said. “His enormous potential contribution to unity, understanding and social justice must now be mourned with him.” https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/26/arts/kobe-bryant-oscar-award.html?smid=tw-nytimesarts&smtyp=cur
