More importantly: why aren't we allowed to assess the risks and decide for ourselves if it's worth it?

Because you don't fucking get risk.

Suppose you're a dumbass and you get behind the wheel of a car while drunk. Worst case you'll kill a dozen people and crash into a tree and die and you're out of the picture. Risk is capped.

If you're a dumbass who gets COVID, you can go to a pool, a club, a hotel, a party, fly to Rome, visit the Vatican, come back, visit Nana in the nursing home and chain reaction get millions of people sick. Risk is uncapped.

All of this started with one person and you are opining about personal risk.

    What a compassionate guy.

Btw Breathing fresh , unfiltered , air is healthy. Outdoors is SAFE. Masks are pure theater , a placebo.

Why is it ok to dine outside safely but not safe to sit in a park, run, play , LIVE?

The disease is spread in crowded indoor environs.

    Not on a trail.

Not gonna wear a mask outside.

    Welcome to the ignore list.

  3. Mask up and open up. Simple.

But your state, like many others, is overrun with numbnuts too busy whining about how a piece of cloth ends liberty.

If you don't want to lock down AND you don't want to wear a mask, then you deserve every bit of economic calamity, depression, mental illness, and death in store for you. Shoulda saved up for a rainy year instead of getting buried in a mortgage and debt you can't afford. But you didn't even do that. Because you're not survival worthy.

If you are willing to do one or the other, then I am sorry you are suffering, but that's the price we individuals pay for our collective societal dumbness.

Looked over the fact that it was in the UK but can you blame me?

Both of them are globalist wannabes. If they'd kept their promises on securing the border against threats and acting as sovereign entities rather than puppets of global opinion, the US and the UK wouldn't be where we are today, and we could crowd the beaches as we pleased.

That’s my go to if the other isn’t available.

I don’t like the yellow cream that has the consistency of vanilla pudding.

For a supposed tough guy, you sure worry a lot.

Why would I marry myself to some silly concept like that?

I think for myself and come to my own conclusions, and happily piss off every idiot and group of idiots that thinks I owe them some allegiance.

Look at Quintard, his jaw is still stuck to the floor because I said Williams is manipulative and should have let a new generation take over Star Wars! “How could a JWfanner think for himself!?”

  7. People who got the OG SARS never regained their damaged lung capacity. People keep saying this is no problem for young people, but that’s not true. Plenty of young people are exhibiting pulmonary and vascular changes that look permanent even though they haven’t dropped dead. In men who’ve had it, even asymptomatically, it seems to have lasting effects on the nads and testosterone production. We don’t know what that will mean down the line.

If you want to risk turning into a shitty, wheezy, Girly-man, low-energy version of Darth Vader, go out mask free and get sick to your heart’s content.

You sound like a reasonable, compassionate person. Don’t waste your reason or compassion on Quintard and the Aussie troll!

  9. Just think 5 weeks of hard lockdown back in late February, ban international travel, have everyone hunker down, strict quarantine, take $150 billion hit on the GDP, and the US would have been COVID free by now and could judiciously re-instate international travel.

Instead we'll pay $50,000 billion over the next decade for this bullshit because the pencil-neck nerds needed evidence this could be harmful.

  10. Masked up and went to the farmers market today. Retarded suburban housewife with her husband type was walking around dry-coughing her lungs into the air on everything with no mask. Her husband was wearing a mask.

    Yep.

I like Dylan too, although admittedly I'm not so keen on the Cult of Dylan, that like an overgrown tree, cuts out sunlight to other equally worthy songwriters, who for all their talent aren't as adept at the art of personal myth-making as he is.

I'm not also that fussed at Dylan's malapropism, which has been so widely used/abused that's been accepted as a colloquialism. Although I understand why those speak English as a second language might give less latitude to these technically incorrect variants.

Once Dylan accepted the Nobel, I lost all respect for him.

Or maybe it won't happen at all and so technically any continued lockdown state is completely pointless and we should all return to normal life in the absence of Coronovirus. But all these mass gatherings and rubbing of shoulders, a big spike on the graph has to happen, surely...

I want to see evidence of it this week.

We got our biggest day so far in NC on Friday. Hospitalizations have been peaking every day for 5 days straight. Saturday the US had its biggest day since mid May!

It takes about two weeks to start seeing the full picture from each event. So we’ll see.
