  1. I´ve never been a trekkie. I have never seen any of the tv series, and only a couple of movies when I was a child, and I don´t remember anything... But I want to wtach this movie. I am a fan of J.J. Abrahams (Lost, Alias, MI3, Cloverfield) and the cast looks very interesting (also a big fan of Eric Bana). P.S.: I like Giachinno and I think this could be his first great score. His work in Lost is amazing, and Ratatouille and The Incredibles are great fun, but I want an original big score with a lot of leit motivs...
  2. -ESB -Superman the movie (both are 2 discs, but I´m thinking on scores, nor albums) -The third one should be E.T., but could be LOTR FOTR (3 dics!!)
  3. Not yet but it was on the tv so it must be true. tic lol at this sentence.
  4. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/dvdreviewsnews.php?id=49197 "They only spend 4 minutes on John Williams and the Indy music" and SPOILER: A highlight is seeing Spielberg giving Williams a fedora Can´t wait for watch it.
  5. I can only say: This list can´t be in order. Comon´, I love TPM but how could it be higher than Ben-Hur?? WTF?!?! This list is crazy. Can´t wait for see the first 100 and smile and die...
  6. All of these soundtracks are out of cataologue, and the only one that I have is 1941, so all opcions would be good for me. Anyway I would go with Jaws 2, then Dracula
  7. I love this film. No doubt one of the best of the 21st century.
  8. I have been reading this topic all the week, and i had really good fun! We have to wait and see, but let´s be postive guys! All that we got at this moment are good news (atleast for me): -I am a John Williams fanatic only since 2005 so I don´t have any of the Indy Soundtracks on cd except KOTKS and the Silva compilation. So ANY Indy release is good to me. Of course I want complete scores and in order, but a cd of 80 minutes of each one would be great. -The last ROTLA cd was great and everybody thinks it, so Concord could rereleased the same album... But no, they add a couple of new tracks... -The prize of ROTLA is really great, 10 bucks?!?! I´m pretty sure TOD and LC will be expanded, and with good sound, but I see some people here in the future crying for missing cues, better sound or starting to ask for KOTKS expanded... Threads like this make me really proud of being a John Williams fan and a member of this forum
  9. I completely disagree. The first time I watched BB I like it, but not loved it. Since that, I have watched it 4 or 5 times more and I like it more and more on each viewing and suddenly fell in love with it. Before saw TDK, BB was my favourite superheroe movie and one of my favourites of all time. I think it is a very good movie in all aspects (story, acting, directing, cinematography... and music). Yes, altought I love John Williams, and he is without doubt my favourite composer and Superman the movie is untouchable as a score, I DO LIKE Zimmer´s and Howard´s job in these Batman movies. I think it works great, and I really enjoy listening it. So BB, was my favourite superheroe movie until yesterday, when I saw TDK. Now I have seen it two times (and in spanish, I´m sure in english the Joker is a lot of better, but the dubbing is not bad) and I can say, that not only is the best superheroe movie I have seen, it is also a very good movie as a drama, or a criminal story, at the level of Heat, The Untocuhables or The Departed for example. BB is great, but TDK is the ESB of this saga. It is bigger, darker, more emotional... and it ends "bad". It needs a third one. I can´t wait for it, altought I seriously doubt it will be better than TDK, because this movie is almost perfect to me. No it wasn't. Why do you think BB is bad? From what I remember, the film had major pacing issues. None of the characters engaged me that much, and the action scenes were not very exciting (or understandable). Batman Begins and bad can´t go in the same sentence. Bruce Wayne? (for the really first time we understand why a rich man becomes into the Batman), Alfred? (a great man, a great friend, a great father, that brings you into tears when he hug the little Bruce), Jim Gordon? (not a old and fat man like in the Burton films, but a great man figthing against the bads and the corrupt police), Ra az Gul and the Scarecrow? (two good and realist villians) I understand the thing about the understable action. I think it works at the begining, with the first aparitions of Batman (you like the bad guys don´t see from where he is coming), but at the end of the movie it annoys little bit. That doesn´t happen in TDK, where you can see Batman hiting hard very clearly.
  10. 5 stars. Beautiful score and one of the best of all time. And "Escape/Chase/Saying Goodbye" (the last 15 minutes of the movie) is maybe the best musical scene in the cinema story (or at least my favourite)
  11. Very good adventure movie (4 stars) and great score (5 stars)
  12. That has to be a record. Damn 13 executive producers!
  13. 5 stars. I think I´m one of the "dumbs" that thinks that ESB is the best score of all time (or at least my favourite). I´m sorry Joe!
  14. In an interview in a spanish newspaper "El Pais" two days ago, he said that Tintin is a trilogy and that he is going to direct the first one (being his next movie), Peter Jackson the second, and the third one will be a co-direction (don´t know what to think...). It will be all in "Beowulf" style (3D in motion capture). He also said that he hopes to film Lincoln at the end of 2009. So it looks like Williams could do another trilogy soon...
  15. I think it´s too soon for vote, but at this moment I really like it, it has very good parts. At this moment its a 4 stars for me, but I´m sure some tracks will grow up after wtaching the film
  16. Hmm didn't he mean "sAxy" because a few seconds later he mentions the Saxophone.. and there is a Sax in Irina's Theme? At the begining of track 4. After watching the video interview, you can´t deny that Williams had a really good fun doing every track of this score The review is not bad but he is not talking about the B Skull theme or the Russian march
  17. Pobably you are rigth. The score in Munich is used very little, probablye the less one in Spielberg career along with SPR. But I really like the two themes and its varations
  18. I had very good experiences with SAE. They are very fast in shipping the orders
  19. Great video, these guys are crazy! Love all the Lego stuff (I´m a very huge fan of the Lego SW videogames, can´t wait for the Indy one!)
  20. It confirms what I was thinking: Williams had a great fun doing this score, you can feel it in every track. It´a shame that you can no wtach his 2 part interview 8it always opnes the first part for me). Fear not, the title only suggests the adventures of Indy's new dog named Mutt, and is a deleted scene. How do you know it is deleted scene? The track is very Hook/Home Alone. I enjoy it very much.
  21. Recently I pick up stanley & Iris throught amazon for a good prize
  22. Co-signed. I don´t think there are concert suites except Raiders March
  23. Yes I am. But I am pretty sure that with more listenings and after watching the film you are going to love it. Trust me, I have a strong feeling about it...
  24. Ruben Ruben TOD was my favourite Indy Film as a child (well, I really haven´t watched the other two ). Easily raiders is the best one (score and film) it is really a masterpiece (in its genere) Althouth TOD is very entertaining and has very good moments, LC is a better film (humour, acting, action... don´t know about the score yet )
  25. Very difficult one, the Superman theme it´s probably one of my top 5 themes of all time, but probably I´d go with Joe on this one
