Wow, I'm on the east coast, LLL shipped on Sat and it's out for delivery! Looks like it's gonna be an early day at the office for me.
Same here!

Really cool! This is such a fun score.
-
-
It really happened! A great batch of titles, and this looks like a crowning achievement.
-
I’m actually right outside the hall right now.
-
I forget - are all ticket holders eligible for the cocktail hour prior to the performance?
Also - if you already hold a ticket you can add the newly announced after party for $350.
-
What a let down.
-
I think the wording can be skewed that way, but what they mean is that the original 5.1 and stereo mixes were by Rhodes and Murray.
-
Well that's a shame! It's a video recording of the main titles from the sessions maybe this one will work:
-
From the recording sessions, though I'm unsure of how to share a video that's posted on Facebook. It's the Main Title.

Sounds like Horner! I’m excited to hear something original, but I’m equally excited to be immersed in the soundscapes Horner created.

Spielberg would learn. Lucas will not, and that's the issue.
That being said, the Dial of Destiny would be a cool artifact, though it would have worked better in 1930/40s era Indy films.
WOW! I called it 13 years ago?? 😂

I assume it's not all NY Phil players?
Last time it was a touring orchestra from Europe.
Chances of it being NY Phil players are slim though, a lot of these concert are performed by freelancers via the local AFM. Sometimes it’s folks from the major orchestras, but generally not.

I feel like this is a case of these self published arrangements (via these services) going under the radar of Williams' lawyers. It's long been nearly impossible for you to get the rights to arrange Williams' music for performing ensembles unless you were one of the chosen few. When I write for marching bands I always check on Williams titles, but they have been impossible to license for as long as I've been doing this.

Gorgeous art, I’m excited to order this!

Wild hunch, but we may be looking at Something Wicked This Way Comes.
1. The George Delerue rejected score (released before)
2. The James Horner complete score
3. The James Horner score album previously released
If so, this would be quite interesting.
I was thinking about this too - it would be very welcome!
-
I’m not sure why Denéve would work to commit Williams to a symphony for Philadelphia, he conducts there often for Williams related concerts but is not the music director there.
-
The film, performances, and recording are all fantastic. And the updates to the book help a lot too. I love it.
-
This should be the new David Geffen Hall too, can't wait!

Omni Music teased on their Facebook that the score for Tangled is next up for them.

This is all very interesting. And amidst it all I just want to reiterate that I loved WSS, my students loved it, my friends and family who saw it loved it, and I think it deserves any and all awards it can get.

Here is a picture of a time a bunch of JWFanners attended a John Williams concert in Boston, Massachusetts, at Symphony Hall, in the summer of 2013
That's me on the far right holding the booklet to the first soundtrack album I ever bought. On the left you can see @#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal, @JWfangirl1992, @josefsuma, @Damien F, and @Joe Brausam
Steef got his Phantom Menace LP signed that evening
That was a fun night!
