This franchise peaked with the sequel and its superior Paxtonian casting. It was all downhill from here.

How long before Disney just adapts Fallen Order as a movie or show. It's the only thing they've done with SW I liked.

I disagree, specifically because that's not what it's called, even though it would be the natural linguistic choice. I've never understood the title (I've never read the book, so I don't know if that would help), but I always figured that whoever perspective the title is supposed to come from, that person clearly put a "the" in there because, by whatever measure, they decided the interview subject wasn't just any vampire. Of course, if that's just Malloy's own title for his interview with Louis, at least the film doesn't seem to justify that reasoning.

Well, I'll give you this. I'm in my underwear sipping on Evan Williams and cans of Diet Pepsi watching reruns of Buffy alone while some asshole in this neighborhood directly next to Disneyland, which has a depressing shitty SW land that looks and feels like a bombed out middle eastern nation, runs a loud sawblade on a Saturday night. Maybe I should be a bit more clear. I don't care about you. I don't care about any of you. The only members I give any thought to are Drax, Lee and sometimes, Stefan. The rest of you are irrelevant.

I agree, at least when it comes to the main story. I never liked the sequel novels from the 90s (which also brought back Palpatine and had a clone of Luke named Luuke) and the idea of just hitting the reset button after the end of ROTJ and making a whole nother trilogy of more or less the same shit happening all over again just sucks.

Whoever would be in charge would still have to bow to the demands of the DEI race hustlers and political correctness committees within Disney corp. Ultimately you'd still end up with a very manufactured curated product that leaves people cold or indifferent instead of just being something good. And nobody would want to buy the dolls.

SW had a great period post ROTJ up to the mid-90s when not much happened and merchandise was mostly sold at flea markets and garage sales. Lucas made it standard by the 2000s that all major retail stores carry SW junk and Disney has not only continued that but made it even worse, when even the Home Depot carries SW licensed crap.
 
But I liked that quiet period where it was all over, you had it on tape and some old beat up Kenner dolls tossed in a box, and there was the Star Tours ride at Disney with borderline knockoff merchandise in the gift shop.

It never fails that crappy SW entertainment that is canceled and has all its un-sellable merchandise sent to be melted down generates more discussion on this forum than JW himself. Kathleen Kennedy could and probably will put out a SW show where Sebulba motorboats the fat six breasted hag from Jabba's palace and you would all blather on about it for 700 pages, delving in to Harvey Weinstein and the Me Too Movement before someone says, "It's a shame we never got The Acolyte Season 2."
