  1. So you’re just proving my point that Superman -/: The Movie is the best one
  2. He looked better in 1923 as a grizzled rancher. It was more believable too.
  3. I’ll give it a shot because I’m known to derive entertainment from things regardless of political slants, but from what I’ve heard, Superman is now a savior of social media and he’s also a guy with funny hair who fights with the press. The political leanings of Hollywood reviewers no doubt have influenced the higher ratings. We’ll see.
  4. They’re not even Fox movies. It’s a total disgrace.
  5. It didn’t take long for me to realize that it would be about Mattel dolls traveling to Earth, like Masters of the Universe. It even has the same background noise at the start. Once they took their road trips, it was obvious they were just making MOTU with Barbie. I did find it very funny in a stupid way and Ken and his patriarchy were particularly charming, which I don’t think was the intent.
  6. The outfit is actually not exactly the same and it’s arguably worse. He also doesn’t wear his satchel on the correct side. I do think that some sort of evolution of his outfit would have worked better, not something so similar. However, I also think the character is just better suited to be exclusively in the 1930s, prequel scenes excepted.
  7. Off the subject of Raiders and still on behind the scenes drama leading to positive changes, I think Harrison Ford being absent for a bunch of the filming of TOD because of his injury led to a lot of great photography of Indiana Jones himself (which the movie already had with Ford present), always careful not to show his face. This is a director at the height of his power faced with a challenge of losing his leading man for a time but delivering the goods regardless. The show must go on.
