  1. Being bit predictable, star wars and superman for me very hard to separate, they don`t do scores like that anymore.
  2. Thats i shame, partic if if its for recording new scores, there performance is always great with john williams and i knows how to write great brass parts, which is so good with the lso.But can understand him not wanting to travel that distance anymore.
  3. Yep i agree about tedious,i thought it was going to have wailing voices in it ,now that would of completely destroyed it for me.I`ve been trying to get hold of the original score, but i kow its pretty rare but i`ll get it one day.
  4. What does everyone think of the score to new clash of the titans? i saw the film at weekend and thought the score sounded to hans zimmerish at times, nothing really themeatic just nothing really,or thou yet to hear it on its own,but i know i would`nt like it much anyway, give me the old one anyday that is a good score.
  5. I Agree most composers do that copy themselves, they have done since 17 hundreds.I explained that to a friend of mine about 5 times, still not sure if he completly understands thou
  6. I`VE heard all of them and i`m very impressed,i think jedi is the best in performance, but what i liked most about them at the time they had extra music that had`nt been released before very nice. But it is good to hear other interpertions of those superb scores.
  7. Who`s going to do the score,i hope its not zimmer , nooooo lol
  8. Thanks for replies people.
  9. Does anyone agree that wailing voices in film music is the worst type of music ,the worst of all is when there is arab sounding voices on a film that does`nt require it at all, makes me cringe hearing it in a film, thank god i have`nt got that sorta music on ost. That sorta sound as been going on for years now,i blame hans zimmer lol.
  10. Thanks for replies!that be good if if you can find out about contra.Always been interested in orchestration side of things.Other broughton scores i like are tombstone ,silverado, narrow margin
  11. Does anyone here know what size brass section was used in young sherlock score ? and if there was a contra bass trombone?
  12. Dam thats a toughey, han solo ,just by a very small margin
  13. Star trek 1, star 5 2 3 All got great themes, they`re superb on soundtrack every cue, like the style of each score, for me they work just as well on soundtrack as they do in film if not better
  14. Glad someone mentioned planet kryton fanfare, one of the best. But williams brass writing in my opinion the best ,partic on star wars scores ,superman, harry potter, jaws 2 etc etc, also very difficult to play. Oh even better when its the lso performing the scores
