Once reacted to Maestro in "John Williams: Adventures on Earth" - Biography by Tim Greiving
Jane Eyre actually never came up! But Lost in Space and The Time Tunnel did (among other works).
I did talk to Carol Goldsmith, as well as Pete Rugolo's widow and a few others who went back to that scene.
Shirley Temple is definitely in the book.
Maybe! If nothing else, the References section in the book will show who all was interviewed.

WOW! That's WAY more than I would have expected!
He must have shared so many stories that there is no room for in the book!

I did speak with Rydell. Also the children of Robert Altman and Delbert Mann. But it was difficult to find any directors with firsthand memories/insight any earlier than Rydell.

Absolutely. LOTS of never-before-seen photos.
Yes—it's included in the book!

No secret! Richard Dreyfuss, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Henry Thomas, and Elliott Gould are the ones who come to mind. Actors don't often have that much insight into the film music process, but I was curious to talk to some specific people who had a special connection to JW's music.
2–3 times a month on average. All told I think I interviewed him for about 25 hours.

I started working on the book in early 2020. I didn't interview JW for it until October 2022. (And yes, there is quite a story about that long gap!) I then interviewed him on a regular basis for 18 months.
I did all of the other interviews myself over the course of the past 4.5 years. This has been going on long enough that I was able to talk to Ken Wannberg, Leslie Bricusse, Ginny Mancini (Henry's wife), and several others before they passed away.

Once reacted to Henry Sítrónu in The Official James Horner Thread
I’m visiting L.A. for 10 days and wanted to check some of James’ materials that Sara gave to the UCLA last year:
https://www.library.ucla.edu/about/news/james-horner-and-his-musical-genius-will-live-on-at-ucla-library/
It went very smoothly and so I want to share with you how to do it.
1. Here’s the entire list of his material. If you want to order something, you need the box number.
https://oac.cdlib.org/findaid/ark:/13030/c8rv0wfj/entire_text/?query=james%20Horner%20papers
2. Then, go here and click the white/grey box beneath LOCATIONS
https://search.library.ucla.edu/discovery/fulldisplay?docid=alma9996950538806533&context=L&vid=01UCS_LAL:UCLA&lang=en&search_scope=ArticlesBooksMore&adaptor=Local%20Search%20Engine&tab=Articles_books_more_slot&query=any,contains,james%20Horner%20papers&offset=0
3. All boxes appear and you can select them individually by clicking on Special Collections Request.
You will be asked to create an account for the UCLA Library's Special Collections Request System. That’s possible for UCLA Affiliated Users and Non-Affiliated Users.
https://speccoll.library.ucla.edu/logon
The librarian said it can take up to one full workday. When requesting, you have to give a visiting date. I requested two days in advance and when I got there, everything was there. You can check the status of your requests online.
The Special Collections is located on the A level of the Charles E. Young Research Library (YRL), one level down from the YRL lobby.
I took a look at Ransom, The Pelican Brief, Searching For Bobby Fisher, Deep Impact and Beyond Borders. In most cases it was just a binded photocopy of the full orchestral score. For Deep Impact though there were a few other notes and materials. The entire list indicates scope and content of the material. Apparently there also some pencil sketches available. I’ll return on Wednesday for Flightplan and Romeo & Juliet
(you can only order 5 boxes per day, and it says online you have an overall limit of 25 requests)
oh, and you can take photos

Once got a reaction from Yavar Moradi in Harry Potter TV Series in the works
I like a lot of these choices. When such a large part of the cast is bound to be newcomers and unknowns (all the kids) I hope they keep the same approach as the movies did and cast some thespians in the adult roles. They might not be able to match them (like having Oscar winner Julie Christie as... Madam Rosmerta) but with the series format even the small roles could be juicier and there are still a lot of great/big British actors who didn't get a chance to appear (like Helen Mirren said to David Heyman; "only because you never asked!").
Funnily enough I've always thought Miriam Margolyes could make a really sinister Umbridge if she was directed to give a subtle performance. Obviously she had already appeared as Sprout when the fifth book was published.

He's certainly got the acting chops, and playing a seemingly-villainous character could be really interesting for him. They could even go with book Snape's look and have Patel with facial hair:
I mean, maybe he's a little too handsome for Snape? But I'm sure they could Snapeify him with the proper makeup treatment.

Maybe three weeks ago? He is good! I can't say more with respect for his privacy, but he has many exciting plans and hopes for the coming year.

It's still awaiting a final layout, but it will most likely be between 500–600 pages.
I'm just happy there's so much enthusiasm here for the book! (Jokey titles and all.) I'm more than glad to answer any questions I can in this pre-release phase, but I will definitely post more substantial updates as soon as I can and I'll also be doing a lot of behind-the-scenes storytelling (in some other venue) to promote the book once the publication date is a little more imminent. Thanks for your patience in the meantime, and please don't hesitate to ask me anything.

There will absolutely be an audiobook! Those represent a huge percentage of sales for publishers these days, so it's really a no-brainer. I won't be reading it myself, but I've pitched some ideal narrators to Oxford Press and am hoping they go for my top choice...
It won't include cues, unfortunately, since that would be a rights nightmare. But when the mood strikes you should just switch from the audiobook over to any given score/track under discussion for a dynamic experience!
Regarding the dead link, if the OP (@Marian) could update that in the top post, that would be great!

I've said it too many times now, but I never ever thought a book like this would be released in his lifetime, much less with his cooperation. I've never looked forward to a book more than this one (and I'm an avid reader)!
