Decided to get this one. I really enjoyed the samples - so refreshingly 80s!

I would consider an expanded Robin Hood score, as it's one of my favorites, ever.

Some of that was the music, pretty effective in the middle portion of the movie. Really, up until the bar scene, where it then became comedic.

Nice shelving, Marian and Thor. I have a similar set-up, but have quickly outgrown it. Now, trying to decide whether to a) sell some discs I don't listen to, b) donate discs to the library for a tax write-off, c) pack some discs up in a box and hide them away in the basement, or d) buy more shelving.

I remember watching The Core on video a while back, but don't remember the score at all. How is it, and anything similar to it out now?

Yesterday - The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings Expanded Edition. It was everything I had hoped for! Today - The Two Towers Expanded Edition.

I voted Moria. And because of this thread, I noticed the expanded soundtracks are available again at Amazon (at least, in the U.S.) - of which I missed the first time around. So, order placed! I'll need to set aside a lot of quality time to digest all this music heading my way.

Yes, exactly. I found my thoughts wandering about 20 minutes in. However, I really do love that main theme, best stated in the "Have a Nice Trip" cue.

Talk about a holy grail... anything EPCOT related, especially the 80s material, would be an instant purchase for me. I'd love to have the 1982 entrance area music in high quality.

Hollywood at its best. I wish more movies were made with the attention and care Master & Commander received. Just a stunning work, even better experienced on the big screen.

It does get a little long in the tooth - the middle section particularly. I really like the first 20 minutes or so, and I'm trying to warm up to the rest.

I'm listening to Thor right now - with each play, more is revealed to me.

I finally ordered Captain America and Super 8 after weeks of waffling.

Karol - I just had this thought this past weekend! Sometimes it takes me months - even years - to properly digest an album, score or not. Especially on the artists I really like, as I'm so concerned about disappointment. So the album will get a spin or two, then shelved for a while until I'm ready to fully appreciate it. The first impression is almost always wrong for me.

Quite the surprise. I haven't even listened to my Ron Jones box yet!

I'm excited to be able to finally get a copy of this soundtrack for a reasonable price. The sound clips were great - I've never heard the score in full before due to unavailability.

I would love to see Intrada release music from the Disney Parks - many of the attractions have wonderful scores.

Would you recommend any Rodrigo Y Gabriela albums to start with? I'd like to explore their work more.

I really enjoyed the Rodrigo y Gabriela tracks on this score, so much so that I wish they were featured throughout all the cues.

Listening to clips of Dario Marianelli's Jane Eyre on YouTube right now. What a great, subdued little score. Definitely moves to the top of the want list.
