  1. It's hard for me to describe what I mean. JP is a 5 star classic, Lost World is a 5 STAR CLASSIC. I love all 4 JP scores so far, however.
  2. I'm okay with it being longer. The pacing doesn't bother me, personally. An extended cut approved by Speilberg himself will never happen, so it'd be up to fans to do it.
  3. IMO, there's alot of good stuff. A whole day of Neverland was actually excised from the movie. We'd cut back to captive Maggie on the Jolly Roger, being the Wendy of the story, persay with captured Lost Boys on the ship - opposed to her just disappearing for most of the movie. More character development for Peter turning to Pan or more appropriately his difficulty in doing so - "Peter. Believe your eyes. Believe in fairies, and lost boys. Find one pure, innocent happy thought and hold onto it." The lost boys do mention Rufio at the final battle as well - and ask where he is, and the older ones tell them he died, opposed to "ok well that's that" with Rufio. More of Hook convincing Jack, with the added explanation most people seem to gloss over - that Neverland makes you forget, which is somewhat lost in the movie. There's a few more, mainly time Peter spends with Lost Boys to try to jog his memory, but yeah.
  4. It really does. JP was a great score, but TLW is a 5-star score. Each track sounds so different, and I love it. This set was $70 well spent.
  5. I'm just thinking happy thoughts we had all kinds of...erm...releases throughout the years attributed to this score. It's my all-time favorite, and (though I can't fault LLLR for not having the elements), Williams involvement really made what should've been a very special release a very average one.
  6. Well, to hear Michael's score isn't great is disappointing, but not shocking. He did only have about 2 months to compose and conduct, after all.
  7. Oops! Appears I was mistaken about that! Good to know that's what it was.
  8. Sony had listings for a 25th anniversary edition of the bluray online (nothing new, just an added digital code + cover art), which has now either been pushed back or shelved (seen here:) http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Hook-Blu-ray/162217/ http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Hook-Blu-ray/160823/ http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hook-25th-anniversary-edition-includes-digital-copy-ultraviolet-blu-ray-1991/32085833.p?skuId=32085833 But I was saying if the deleted scenes from the movie were on it - even as special features, which they sadly haven't been, it would help the movie. They re-edited the whole thing, and there is a TON of cut footage from it. I'm not the guy who runs Hook-Movie.com, however, I am a huge fan and know of the movie's history. I have still images of deleted scenes from the trading cards set I own, and other promo materials i've seen online / purchased haha.
  9. Since Ayer is directing Gotham Sirens or whatever, I fully expect Catwoman to have a tattoo on her forehead that says "Pussy."
  10. Hook kicked off my (late) Christmas marathon. I still love it, despite the flaws inherent (which, deleted segments released on the 25th Anniversary bluray could have rectified.) This movie just oozes charm, and is a very feel good movie. Speilberg can hate it all he wants, but it is definitely much better than clunkers like 1941 and Terminal. The score is top notch - obviously-, and I am revisiting the music again after 3 years off (I take time in between my favorites, and it makes it even better listening and much more rich.) I do truly hope for an expanded-expanded re-release, there's so much great music left off the LLLR album.
  11. I wonder if that item they found so long ago that would blow people's minds, but couldn't use due to legalities had anything to do with Hook?
  12. I'd like a 2Disc ET, and as mentioned in the Hook thread, a proper (re)-release, should the elements be found. Score, film versions, alternates, ALL the songs, possibly unused but recorded - like Low below.
  13. I'll agree in that it IS nice to have more music, but sadly this came at the wrong time. Oh well, maybe for the 30th anniversary. Anything is possible, and LLLR have released and re-released Williams scores over the past few years with more music, so it's not impossible, just unlikely.
  14. Listening to Jurassic Park/The Lost World's new release, I am so hoping for a re-release of Hook now more than ever
  15. So my question is...what is the connection to Her theme and that snippet of Enter, lord vader?
  16. I don't, unless i'm mistaken on Shmi's theme
  17. Yes and yes. I am so confused as to where that article even got the B-theme lol
  18. Okay, so on Wookiepedia, for "Enter, Lord Vader" apparently there is "A rendition of Anakin's "B-theme", first heard in Episode I, and associated with Shmi's Theme, plays after the opening percussion". Where in the score for TPM can this be heard? Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Wookiepedia
