  1. Haven't heard of that before, but I'd love to hear it as well if anyone knows where to find it. Don't know about the suite, but the score itself is really good. I have not yet heard Dawn of the Dinosaurs. And Your avatar with the running horse thing is insane (in a good way).
  2. I completely agree. Murray Gold has blown me away with his Doctor Who music. Harry Potter would be right up his alley.
  3. I thought I posted on this thread earlier. Guess not. I really hope the extra time allows Hooper to take his music to the next level. He needs to if he wants to follow John Williams.
  4. Zora Hall - Majora's Mask - Orchestrations (Koji Kondo, Toru Minegishi) Heist - Over the Hedge (Ben Folds) Battle - Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind Symphony (Joe Hisaishi/T.J.C Orchestra) A Dream Discarded - Memoirs of a Geisha (John Williams) Madolyn -Departed (Howard Shore) I love all of those soundtracks except The Departed. It has never been a favorite of mine.
  5. 3.5 I'm a huge Doyle fan, but this music never interested me much. Eragon, Goblet of Fire, and The Last Legion were reasons I thought I'd like this, but it never reaches their level of quality.
  6. 5, because this is extremely good music. I hope more video games take this approach.
  7. I really like the Janusz Kaminski cinematography. I notice in Indiana Jones 4 that the lighting was really good (forshadowing, anyone?) and I liked it in War of the Worlds and The Terminal too.
  8. It's Beastmaster by Lee Holdridge. Is Beastmaster a good score? The title sounds interesting.
  9. Prince Caspian and it was great. Definitely much better than the first. It is much darker and some of the creatures are creepy and very disturbing to look at. You'll know the ones I'm referring to when you see it. There is a lot of action in the film, and a great sneaking around scene. The battles were more on the scale of Lord of the Rings, although I won't dare say they are as good because I know I'll get yelled at with big bold letters. Note: I never read the book so I don't have that to compare it to.
  10. I watched the film, which is great by the way, and then I listened to the music right afterwards. I think that it is good. Many have said that it is bad, but maybe all they need to do is watch it in the context of the film before. They might like it then. It's good.
  11. B+ because in no way is the music bad, but it just doesn't quite deserve an A.
  12. I really like this score. I give it an A+ to cancel out the F's that it certainly does not deserve.
  13. I have it, although I admit I forgot about it until just now. Last played in January 2007. It isn't bad, but it isn't great either. There are two jazzy tracks by Horner, and there is also a waltz. The rest is slower emotional music. I'm just referring to Horner's music.
  14. The Metal Gear Solid music in Super Smash Bros Brawl is pretty good.
  15. Here is a video, approximately 24 minutes long. The thing is filled with film music. I know i recognized James Newton Howard's Dinosaur music. What else is used? I thought people might have fun identifying it. http://video.google.com/url?docid=80249710...aWWzI_cEpHlfFNw
  16. My Neighbor Totoro Kiki's Delivery Service Howl's Moving Castle Laputa: Castle in the Sky
  17. If it means more Star Wars music from John Williams, I'd be thrilled.
  18. I really like his music. Cutthroat Island Passion of the Christ White Fang II, which is probably the first Debney score I heard Lair Evan Almighty, which I liked Snow Dogs was a comedy, but I liked it for its adventure music.
  19. I'm guessing no new CD is getting released, or we would have heard by now.
  20. Has anyone ripped the end credits from Order of the Phoenix? I think the first minute or so was new material?
  21. I like all of the music listed below. It isn't in any particular order (except the Lion King deserves the top). The Lion King Balto Happy Feet Over the Hedge The Land Before Time Sinbad Polar Express Spirited Away My Neighbor Totoro Ice Age 2 Shrek 1,2,3 Robots Howl's Moving Castle Kiki's Delivery Service Princess Mononoke Atlantis: The Lost Empire Valiant The Prince of Egypt Ratatouille The Ant Bully Chicken Run The Simpson's Movie Treasure Planet
