  1. Joe I'm glad you brought it up, I definitely agree with you on Adventures to Earth I did feel like it wasn't as amazing as it could have been. The last time he performed ET in Ny it was absolutely phenomenal, this time it wa a bit lackluster =\
  2. I wouldn't be able to recall the entire setlist, but from what I remember it was exactly the same as the one posted plus the "Theme from Sabrina" after Fiddler on the Roof , then he did the theme from Star Wars set to film from all 6 films. Left stage for 30 seconds, came back did Yodas Theme, left again for ten seconds and did Indian Jones followed by the Imperial March. I have to say the piece from Vertigo (I'm completely unfamiliar with the score) was absolutely beautiful, so powerful and brilliantly performed. Other highlights of the night was Schindler's List and Fiddler, the power Shaham put into these pieces was outstanding, just watching him play was moving in itself. You could tell how much emotion he was putting into the performance and it made those pieces even more incredible than they already are. And for those who I was fortunate enough to meet before the concert all asked me what I brought for him to sign and were all kinda surprised when I said Sabrina because it was my favorite score. So needless to say Shaham's performance of Sabrina completely made my night. I prefer it played with a piano versus a violin as the main focus of the piece, but again the emotional content Shaham and Williams gave in their entire performance was absolutely incredible.
  3. Hahah now this got me laughing. But c'mon guys I'm not on that stalker status, I'm pretty sure its one of you guys that knows exactly where he lives . I just wanted to give it my best go incase if he does plan on retiring and not doing another NY show. And Mark, yes I was on more a while ago but its more due to college than anything else.
  4. Haha thank you, but I definitely wouldn't have gone to that extreme. My thoughts were there is no harm in giving it a try, whats the quote "Better to try and fail then not even try at all." I honestly didn't expect it to work but 1) I got my exercise for the day 2) I definitely gave him a good laugh.
  5. Because after his past two concerts I've seen him get in the car. I'm not trying to seem crazy obsessed stalkerish, I would just love to meet him and tell him how much I appreciate his work
  6. Honestly for me Schindlers List selections, the bit from Sabrina and the encores are what made the program for me. It was a marvelous show but as I've said I would really love to see a program dedicated to him. This is his 3rd NY show in about 7 years and not one of them was all about his music.
  7. This is good to hear because I am thinking of driving up to Boston for it, any jerks ruin it I'm punching them I just want like a handshake lol
  8. I just legitimately sprinted along side his limo, and I hate to admit it but I was snubbed. When he came out there was a gate separating us and I called to him saying there was only a half dozen of us, but he didn't even acknowledge me. This is the second concert I chased after his limo, and last time (being only fifteen) I'm pretty sure I was crying a little. Does anyone else have a similar story or an actual success one?
  9. Jwfangirl snubbed again. Chased him the equivalent of a block and a half and even yelled to him before he got in the car that there was only a few of us but he just got in his limo and his driver shook his head at me =\ bit of a let down
  10. Thank you! If he does play it I'll try and record it for you guys Edit: I put on heels this morning but ended up changing them right before I left, I'm running after his limo if I have to =]
  11. I'm excited to be able to see the movies in theaters (I only saw the 3rd in theaters), but not a big fan of 3D
  12. Fingers crossed because it's between there and the garage. Unless I hear anything else between now and then I'll be at the stage door.
  13. Agreed with the past few posts, people will be able to hum along with the PotC Theme more easily than Hedwig's, but the average movie goer will know that Hedwig's Theme is Harry Potter just because (and now I'm going to try and word this as best as I can), Hedwig's opening is magically brilliant just like the Harry Potter series is -it draws you in from the beginning and is just rich in content (IMO). However, like Quint said, people can easily mistake the movie He's a Pirate is from.
  14. For the sake of the Maestro, I've always thought his music was mostly popular here in America. I knew we had a few people from Europe on here, but I didn't realize it was a solid percentage.
  15. Humor me gentlemen, I've been off the JW scene for a while. Where are some of these "Obvious Hints" this poll speaks of? I'm a huge fan of Hook and would love this to be true.
  16. After the Dark Knight, I cannot wait for this movie to come out. TDK was a phenomenal movie, well acted, well written, just overall well done. As for the score, the only time I've listened to it is when it comes on my John Williams Pandora station, so I'm indifferent to it. As for Anne Hathaway I think she is a gorgeous girl, but I know her as the Princess Diaries girl and the girl from The Devil Wears Prada, I don't know how I feel for her as Catwoman
  17. Wow Europe is beating the States, I'm kinda surprised but at the same time pretty impressed.
  18. That would be excellent, or Sabrina I absolutely love that score.
  19. The question about his sweaters is definitely a must haha
  20. There's no doubt in my mind that the Maestro has been on this website....multiple times. He probably hates most of us but at the same time he definitely appreciates that we all go out of our way to listen to and praise his music. I really think he'd be down for an interview if the way he was approached is kind and courteous, he is a normal person too.
