I'm still disappointed that How to Train Your Dragon 2 didn't get nominated. It's considerably better than any of the current nominees IMHO.

I agree for the most part but I still think that Munich has more emotional appeal. Anyway, I voted no because Lincoln had a decent shot at winning in 2012.

True, but only die-hard Star Trek fans would care enough to watch it in HD. And since Star Trek is no longer "trendy", it's essentially a niche product.

Why would it? The entire series is on Netflix!

I listened to a couple of the samples and found them to be impressive. I'd never 100% blind buy something (unless it's by John Williams (excluding all Johnny Williams scores))

I'm disappointing that neither HTTYD 2 nor Maleficent got nominated for best original score. At least Trent Reznor didn't get nominated.

He has greatly improved yet another film! I can't wait to see what he does with Star Wars, Gone with the Wind, and The Wizard of Oz!

Does this count? It's technically from a film. Everything is Awesome (from The Lego Movie) This song is catchy in the worst way.

Man Seeking Woman Some decent laughs. Very reminiscent of Louie, though Justin Long isn't quite as likable as Louie C.K .

How to Train Your Dragon 2 One of the best looking and sounding 3D animated films that I've seen. It comes really close to being a truly great sequel. It's hindered by an overabundance of kiddie humor and a rushed climax.

I just listened to the new material. Pretty good stuff except for the cartoon cue, which I'm not too keen on. Sound quality is great.

I would have liked to have seen that too. It's hard to get too upset though, because Desplat's score is pretty great.
