  1. Historical accuracy is maybe the least important thing in a historical epic. If I wanted historical accuracy I'd read a textbook
  2. Powell also scored Shrek though, which might make him persona non grata at Disney
  3. I feel like people have been speculating Powell for a Pixar for more than a decade but it still hasn't happened. I'm thinking maybe it's a Disney vs. DreamWorks type loyalty thing where they don't want to hire the guy from the other team
  4. There have been 2, MAYBE 3 good MCU scores total. Let's not act like it's some prestigious line of great scores being tainted by "tokenism". It's McDonalds
  5. Throughout the years posting on JWFan I've found that there is a certain hierarchy of posting that always persists, with various members rotating in and out to fill out vacancies. Contrarian "voice of reason" posters, historians/compilers, funny guys, poll-makers, and goblins.
  6. Home Alone is significantly elevated by the score. Even if it's still technically a good movie without it
  7. My question is, why aren't they releasing this at Halloween?
  8. I feel like stylistically, Bullit is new for Spielberg and that alone makes it worth it
  9. Was coming here to post this then realized I already did
  10. Can't wait to find out which JW score they don't announce
  11. It felt like an extension of The Irishman's non-score sound. Music that doesn't add anything emotionally but keeps things moving along. Both are great movies but not really musical showcases Oh come one that one doesn't count
  12. Not only do they say n*zis in the movie, I'd argue the theme says it too (the driving rhythmic portion is basically just repeating the phrase "the n*zis")
  13. Even with the ending though and certain other parts it was still one of the more enjoyable games I've played recently. Got like 120 hours doing the various side and hero quests
  14. Finally finished Xenoblade 3. A really enjoyable experience overall but that ending was stanky-ass bad. A literal 3 hour, 11 stage boss fight sandwiched between long unskippable cutscenes. In general I loved it's more directional turned based combat system but boss fights often turn into bullet sponge everything-in-the-kitchen-sink approach without much strategy. The music was great and I liked the story (though it started repeating itself after a while doing the hero/side missions)
  15. I think any country should be able to call people Sir
