  1. Not a fan of Starship Troopers (film or score), and didn't get too much into what I heard of Flesh and Blood. Haven't heard Wind
  2. To be honest, besides Conan, Poledouris's stuff never did much for me
  3. I feel like DOD's original material at least feels more distinct and separate than TLJ (where the reused material formed the foundation of the score). If anything the DOD OST doesn't have enough Indy's theme, focusing largely on Helena's theme
  4. 1. Rey's Theme 2. Rise of Skywalker (The Rise of Skywalker) 3. The Fabelmans (The Fabelmans) 4. Adventures of Han (Solo) 5. Dear Basketball (Dear Basketball) 6. Kylo Ren's Theme 7. Mother and Daughter (The Post) 8. The Presses Roll (The Post) 9. The BFG friendship theme (The BFG) (0:56 of Blowing Dreams) 10. The Nazi Suite (prologue from The Dial of Destiny)
  5. I really like how JW develops the Nazi theme throughout the movie, culminating in the The Spark-esque event cue The Airport. It feels like Williams wrote it with that scene in mind and then worked backwards.
  6. According to Balfe's PR, they recorded 5 hours of music so there's actually much more unreleased for that
  7. The Nazi theme is kind of like if Anthem of Evil was actually used in the TROS score (the melody itself is a lot more simple and effective too). Also it has a great "villain's destruction" moment that we never really got in the ST (Snoke and Palpatine's deaths were both scored with the upbeat renditions force theme)
  8. Its numbers were also boosted by some company buying tickets in bulk and gifting them to church groups for "free". Essentially gaming the system
  9. This is a great idea and I'm imagining some funny combinations now (playing Kylo Ren's theme any time he shows up in a historical drama or like Marriage Story)
  10. It didn't seem like all that violent to me. Like they just sprayed him with some ashes and ketchup. Anakin in ROTS is much more gruesome
  11. From the Mangold interviews it seems like it was pretty clear Williams was the one who wrote it
  12. The Schriffin-esque parade music (not to be confused with the marching music by William Ross)
  13. I personally found his death to be a bit sanitized and Disney eque. You got Romans and the bad guy dies in a plane crash (rather than taking a spear to the head or being crucified)
  14. Yeah, I was the only one left in the theater and the theater guys said "are you done yet?" Now I'm gonna go to that theater way more often and watch the end credits all the way through for every movie
