  1. Hook It's been a while. A masterpiece. I love all the action music, etc but the music in England before they leave for Neverland is just magical. Every time I listen, I'm surprised by how great it is.
  2. One thing about Shyamalan up through Lady in the Water is that even when I don't love the film, I love the universe he creates. I'm not sure why but even a film like The Village (which is deeply flawed), I can sit through because I seriously feel sucked into the world for for some reason. JNH's scores are a big part of that for me. NP - Fringe Season 4 / Chris Tilton The final track, Henrietta, gets me every time. Beautiful, short, sad piece that I don't want to end.
  3. I'd love that. I'd easily pay top dollar for that. The sessions to the first film are one of the most played titles according to my iTunes library. I would happily pay $40 dollars for an official release and the same for the other Williams Potter scores. I'm glad for his comment about it taking 3 discs. I would love the trailer music - even if it has to come from music stems or a less than perfect source. Exciting news for sure. I hope something comes of it!
  4. Wow. All three are instant orders. Especially Prancer. Childhood favorite and I must buy all such scores. And yes, I MUCH prefer Polar Express as well, but I'll take A Christmas Carol too.
  5. I'd be THRILLED with a proper complete release of The Polar Express.
  6. Right and Debney's participation is cool. Intrada just handled it poorly by not making it known up front and also by deleting posts about it, etc. They should take a cue from the LLL playbook in situations like this.
  7. I don't begrudge Intrada for what they did. I very much do though for not making it clear I as advance and only doing so when it was brought to light by customers.
  8. Awful. What is Disney's problem? I'll be keeping and enjoying the DVD that's part of Mickey Mouse In Living Color, Vol 2. Man I miss those Walt Disney Treasures release. I have (and cherish) every one of them.
  9. Up - by Michael Giacchino I haven't listened to it in a year or so and I adore it. The film and score seemed an homage to a different era, much like Super 8, though to very different times. A friend once critiqued the score to Up as being to repetitive in that the main theme is used so often throughout. That's actually part of what I like about it. When I love a theme as I do this one, I love hearing it and variations of it peppered throughout the score. One of my criticisms of Giacchino's Info Dadkness score is that there are not many ( if any ) really effective variations of his main theme. Oddly enough, Chad Seiter's game score presents much better variations on the theme than does the actual film score. Now playing / The X-Files, Vol. 2. I finally got it ripped and imported. I love what I'm hearing so far.
  10. That Gene Wilder interview was terrific. It's wonderful to see sincere honesty. Thank you for posting it.
  11. This will be the release of the year for me!!! Aspect ratio and grain are INTACT! (contrary to most Disney ""restorations"") Oh wow!! How did I miss THIS until now?!?! Thank you. I had no idea!
  12. Ordered this one! Freaking love X-Files and Mark Snow's music.
  13. I love TNG Volume 1. Glad to see Volume 2 will be coming along with Enterprise and Voyager. I'll take all the Trek music I can get!
  14. The movie is a perfect popcorn adventure film if you ask me. I think it has aged wonderfully.
  15. From LLL Facebook: Bring on Volume 2. I'd post the link but my phone isn't cooperating right now.
  16. I loved it when people say the truth. Screw personal opinion and everyone is different and so on. The first one is the best. It always is! Well, I was just stating my opinion. To each his own. ...even though the first one IS the best.
  17. The first Bourne was by far the best to me. As for the Nolan Batman films, I actually don't love them as much as many do, and I'm a hardcore lifelong DC Comics fan. I liked Batman Begins the most. It is one of the most true-to-comic form films in my eyes. I thought it was a bit slow in places but I really liked it. TDK was good but overrated because of Ledger's excellent performance. Otherwise, I don't think the film would stand on its own as well. TDKR was a mess / visually, logically and story-wise. I doubt I'll ever watch it again. I also think the two Burton films are now criminally underrated thanks to the shadow of Nolan's films.
  18. Wonderful. I felt that way when I saw Moon and Primer. Watching Europa Report tonight. Your comments made me even more excited.
  19. Hook is fantastic. I've listened many times. As to Disney, I'd love: The Rocketeer Robin Hood Bambi Beauty and the Beast The Lion King The Little Mermaid Duck Tales The Rescuers Bed knobs and Broomsticks Escape to Witch Mountain (original) All Pixar films complete Pixar Short Films Collection of scores Disney attraction scores There are lots more. But we can start with this small list.
