I support the petition as it is, but I think a higher priority are the prequels. Not having the music (or at best, cobbled together from video games) is a more problematic case than wanting a remaster of a score where 90 something % of the music is there.

The first version focused on big gushers of oil shooting up from the ground, but they opted to go with NASA version instead (which, ironically, uses lots of lots of oil in those rockets).  

I'm disappointed by this thread; I really thought it would be about underwear.

Didn't you know he stole it all from Burroughs, and that Gary Kurtz was the secret genius of Star Wars? I spend time on the internet, so I knew that.

Ross is clearly too old to keep up and should have retired instead of having this blemish on his career. Then JW could have written the whole score…

I mean it's not like they're going to beat Disney's new Indy set so why bother really?

There is no need for anyone to freak out.  Ross only wrote the good parts.

Okay, for those who don't understand French, here is the translation: Annaud reveals that working with John Williams was challenging; it was complicated, and he contemplated firing him at least seven times during the process.

I'm also excited for this especially that it will be more orchestral than electronic. Great autumn for JNH fans with Night After Night, All the Light and soon a new Hunger Games score.

Balfe has written more music to Mission: Impossible 7 1/2 than John Williams and Howard Shore have to Star Wars and LotR combined.
I hope that in time everyone will realize what a genius LB is who deserves that every note he wrote for M:I DRP1 be released on CD.
 

LB seems willing to release all 14 hours of music he wrote for M: I 7 and please his fans.
 
If only a certain composer whose name rhymes with Sohn Billiams was willing to do the same...
