  1. "According to Spielberg, Williams repeatedly tells him that he’s waiting for his next assignment. “Every time we see each other,” Spielberg says, “Johnny asks, ‘Are you working on our next film?’ Because John has been my primary creative partner across my entire film career. And that’s not gonna end until we do.”" https://variety.com/2024/film/news/john-williams-oscars-star-wars-steven-spielberg-collaborations-1235929403/ I think that answers the question.
  2. Awesome! Any new interviews with the Maestro to be featured in this upcoming book? Now we just need all nine scores given the definitive release treatment and we are all set!
  3. Anything exclusive to the print copy not included in the online article? I'm debating whether or not to get this.
  4. War Horse and Lincoln were both released under Touchstone Pictures, so those were released by Disney. There is also The BFG.
  5. That is nice that they are giving this well-deserved recognition to the Maestro.
  6. I did not think to add this at first, but I might as well. Two of my most prized possessions!
  7. I love this! When are we getting the Documentary on the Maestro? I'm hoping sometime this year. Any update on that?
  8. What a lovely interview. I can't wait to see the Maestro perform in New York in a few days!
  9. So it will be released on May 3rd. Can’t wait to get it. Too bad it can’t be pre-ordered yet.
  10. On this day, 92 years ago, the world was blessed with the birth of the gift that is Maestro John Williams. The man, the myth, the legend. What more can be said. A most happy and blessed birthday to Maestro John Williams.
  11. I’m curious. For Who…Whom is pitch-shifted when comparing the soundtrack album and the film. Which version is as-recorded and therefore is the correct pitch? If it is the film that is correct, why is the pitch different on the album?
  12. Awesome! Just curious, but any chance of tackling Hook?
  13. What a wonderful tribute. More than deserved.
  14. A new presentation using the Maestro’s piece? Count me in. Now, do us all a favor and officially release the piece itself!
  15. Hence the crystal clear sound quality and dynamics with the restoration/remastering.
  16. It turns out I won’t be able to see it, as a paid subscription is required. Is there a way the concert can be shared?
  17. Well, son of a gun. All this time, and I never knew that. Also, I'm surprised you did not know The BFG takes place in 1982. Not only does the scene with Queen Elizabeth II asking Nancy Reagan if "Ronnie" is there before telling her, "Well, wake him" confirm this, but in the orphanage, there is an E.T. plush toy by one of the kids' beds. Plus, that is the year the original children's book by Roald Dahl was published.
