    Nope, just normal trailer music.
I think it's neat that Giacchino gets such high billing in this. He's been the first name on the credits list for the past few trailers/featurettes, and in the first teaser, he was right under Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. I don't think I've seen that happen for a composer before (not saying that it hasn't happened--I just haven't seen it).

Max got a reaction from Bilbo in Star Wars "Rebels" - Kevin Kiner Returns!
Looking back now that the first season is over, I think Kiner did a decent job. I noticed fewer obvious Williams references as the season progressed, which was nice, but I still feel like he relied upon Williams’s scores too heavily. I feel like some of his character themes are too derivative (Ezra’s sounds like the opening to “The Battle of Endor,” Zeb’s sounds like “The Basket Game” from Raiders, and Sabine’s sounds like the ticking from the beginning of “The Tusken Camp and The Homestead”), but I liked his theme for the Inquisitor (especially in the finale—that whole episode had a very nice score).

Overall, I wish Kiner would avoid Williams’s themes unless it’s appropriate to use them—more like what he did in The Clone Wars. I liked Kiner’s work in The Clone Wars (it had its ups and downs as well), and I wish he use that style here.

I was reading an issue of Star Wars Insider a few weeks ago and came across an interview with Kiner where he stated that he thought it was “refreshing” to reuse Williams’s themes, and that in the spotting sessions the first thing they do is see what they can pull from Williams’s scores. He also mentioned that he had said basically “everything he wanted to say musically” during the six seasons of The Clone Wars.

I was surprised to read that. In a show full of new characters and situations with plenty of opportunities for new music, how do you run out of things to say?
(I loved the show, though. They improved with every episode. The second half of the season was great, especially once Tarkin showed up. I can't wait for season two!)

A new clip has been released with some score in it!

The beginning of the clip must be Joy's theme--it sounds similar to the "Bundle of Joy" cue that was used in the Spanish trailer. I can't wait to hear more!

Yeah, I've noticed that, too. I don't mind quoting, but only if it's relevant to the scene it accompanies. If Kanan or Ezra uses the Force, then I think the Force theme is fine. If Wookiees hug, I don't think Leia's theme really works...
I think the fact that someone even includes a cue on the Star Wars website after an episode airs is a sign that someone, somewhere, is thinking about the score. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a release once the season ends!

NOTE: I've never tried anything like this before, so it's very likely that I haven't caught the more minor motifs or variations. If I've messed up anything or left out something, or if I need to be more specific with the theme descriptions, just let me know and I'll fix it!
As far as I've been able to tell, there are four main themes.
The most prominent theme of the score is what director Matt Reeves has called the Noble Apes theme. This theme is used to reflect the apes who align with Caesar and the utopian society in which they live.
Opposing this theme is the Rogue Apes theme, which is a harsher, angrier theme representing primarily Koba, the film's antagonist, and also, to a smaller extent, the apes who follow him.
The Human theme is relatively quiet and sad. It represents the main group of humans who interact with the apes, as well as the human civilization in San Francisco. The theme's apparent simplicity is a reflection of these humans' way of life.
Caesars theme appears only a few times throughout the score, when Caesar stands out as a leader of the apes. (In general, Caesar is associated with the Noble Apes theme.)
I believe there are also at least two smaller motifs: the "war" motif, which appears in Gorilla Warfare and The Apes of Wrath, and the "baby" motif, which appears in The Great Ape Processional, when Caesar and Cornelia's baby is born, and (from what I could tell) one another time in the film, when Ellie (Keri Russell's character) plays with the baby in the scene preceding Along Simian Lines.
Hopefully any disagreements, additions, or questions you have about this can drive the discussion!

Personally, I hope they pull together a 6-disc set rather than just a single disc.
I really like (the majority of) the tracks Kiner posted on his website, but what he posted already amounts to more than what one disc could hold. Thus, a single disc most likely wouldn't have anything that Kiner hasn't already released himself, and there are *plenty* of cool cues that remain unreleased. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
