I want to argue about this with you, because you play video games which can be considered toys (because murder simulators sound nasty, and calling them e-sports is dumb), but I remember we had and exhausted this argument years ago. And I'm not genuine enough of a person to argue anymore anyways. So I digress.

I know what you're saying here, but wasn't that the case when the original Superman score was released? Wasn't John Williams sound "the thing" at the time as well?
I'm not saying this is good music or that it will serve the film or not. I'm just ruminating on how to approach this kind of a story. And what is cliche and what isn't.

Oh I remember waiting and waiting for the album for ages back in 1999, when the film and CD came out later here than in US. I must have irritated the CD store people to distraction with my constant question of whether the CD had arrived or not. But I was there in the store when they hauled the boxes in that contained their latest shipment, including my Angela's Ashes album. You just can't beat that moment. Oh the excitement!
And it became one of my favourite scores.

Im new to John Williams Fan Network. I am just a 6th grade kid dreaming to become a composer, and what better role model than John williams? So I had heard ballad of the goddess on tv, and I knew I had to transpose it and send it to the local orchestra. So I began, and for a month I vigourously worked to write the orchestral transcription. I had been trying, and then I come to this site to find it was already done.
Good job. Not Good. Great Job! Im so jealous:)
But I still will figure it out on my own( though I am tempted to take a peek at what you have written) and post it here as soon as I am finished.
It is a beautiful song and the video game is great too.

I hope not. I remember I liked Super 8 so much I bought it on iTunes while waiting for my CD to ship.
But I rationalized it as...it was a musical drought so I was supporting good music.
