  1. The last page of the main title is one of the worst. The source material doesn't seem to be in that great shape to begin with, though.
  2. The cave is not nearly as hard to read as some cues from jaws. That score is a nightmare to read!
  3. I'd be lying if I said I'd never considered it, haha. I'm not even aware of any references to him having a personal librarian, though I'd certainly believe it. (I guess it goes without saying that I don't have any such connections.) Actually Williams does have a personal librarian, she's flautist Karen Smith. There was in interview with her in the May 2013 issue of FSM.
  4. That's fantastic! Really excited! Maybe I misunderstood when Conrad told me about this release. That's too bad about John Williams though
  5. From what I know, the editor works with Danny Elfman plus it was easier to get the rights for this score. I mean, it's not at all like :"oh, we have a choice to pick from Star Wars, Et, hook, etc. but let's release Edward Scissorhands instead" I assume a John Williams score to be released would be nearly to impossible! Conrad Pope worked on this release in some form. I know he wasn't the main editor but he had involvement in it
  6. Maybe the solo piano pieces are being recorded seperate from the rest, hence the 0's. I thought that too but there's a Violin I part for 0ME, and its definetely for a section because it says desk 3. I guess only time will tell what these are.
  7. Six concert suites seems like a lot, but he did do like ten or something for the sorcerers stone I guess.
  8. Now we know there's going to be lots of solo piano! Anyone know what's up with the weird cue numbering? 0MA, 0MB, etc.
  9. The opening of raiders also had a slightly different ending
  10. Parade of the ewoks was the original version, not the album version.
  11. I think there's a possibility they could be fairly big since the studios had their own orchestras.
  12. Doesn't it say he used a real choir on the OST notes for empire?
  13. What were the string sections like in the golden age scores?
  14. I thought that was a real choir, I think the tape is just really messed up so it sounds fake.
  15. The composer doesn't rent the orchestra, the studio pays for it and the contractor works out how many musicians he can have.
  16. I still can't believe Williams was able to get someone who plays an Eb oboe for this score, those things are basically nonexistent.
  17. Maybe this was supposed to be a huge surprise and Joann Kane ruined it for everyone
  18. There's also copies of some of the actual spotting notes in On The Track
  19. I'm just going off of what Pope told meI meant the sheet music is the original film version. So just because it has appeared in any video games it wasn't ever recorded? The original finale to episode two hasn't appeared anywhere other than mockups and those brief seconds in that recording sessions video.
  20. The film is not a reliable source because the music was edited to hell. They used other concert suites in the film version, e.g. Duel of the fates was all that was used for the duel scenes, none of the original music written for those was kept in the movie.
  21. Dude, I already answered that question for you with proof from a two hour interview I did with Conrad Pope. The sheet music is the film version and original, the version on the soundtrack, according to Pope, is most likely an edit as he was almost positive there were no revisions, inserts or concert versions of that cue.
